Has anyone played at the WSOP or a WPT

I was just wondering if any of you guys have played at the WSOP or WPT event. If you have how did you get there? Was it just one satellite, multiple satellites or did you just pay the cash up front? How did you do?

About 3 years ago my mate won a satellite to play in the WSOP with flights n hotel paid for.

He's a realy good poker player too since he attended Oxford univeristy and is hella good with maths.

Anyways I cant remeber how many ppl enterd but he did come summit like 314th to pocket $18k.

I usually try to play in at least one or two satellittles in the wsop.
I have never played the main event,but I have played several satelites.
I try to go to vegas every year around that time.

I played in the 2006 WSOP Stud H/L tourney. It was $1,000 buy in at the time and I just bought in directly. Although in hindsight, I probably should have taken a crack at a satellite or two.

But anyway, it was an awesome experience. I finished 448th out of 778. I busted about 30 minutes after the dinner break when my Kings failed to improve against someones Aces.

Even if you don't have a huge bankroll, I highly recommend going out for the WSOP sometime. There is just an amazing electricity in the Amazon Room that can't quite fully be described.
