a good night at 10/20 limit casino table

I just wanted a moment to talk about one of my best nights ever at a 10/20 limit casino poker table since no one but me was there to see it.

My initial strategy was to play tight until I started getting some cards. I started getting nut flops and proceeded to bet aggressively. When it was checked to me, I betted. When there was a bet to me, I raised or reraised. After winning a few pots with about $200 or more, the guys on the table thought they were on to me. This one fool even openly talked about my tells. He said he knew I had a nut flop since I was raising and reraising. I noticed the guys were folding to me. Even my few bluffs were not contested.

I had to change my betting style. A few hands later, I had a J6o and the flop was 66J. I calmly checked it and it was checked all the way. There was about 5 people in the pot. The turn seemed insignificant to me so I betted. Two guys fold and 2 called. The river was also insignificant, I betted again. One guy folds and the other and I capped the betting. He had only a set of 6.

I followed this strategy for my next few killer hands. I had a pocket KK. The KK became a set on the flop. I check raised and was called. I ended up beating a 2 pair. A few hands later, I get the pocket AA. Again, I called the blinds and pretend to limp into the pot. The flop, river and turn was off suited and J high with no connectors or flush draws possible.

I felt a lot of resentment on the table and decided to make my break. I walked away that night with over a grand in profit and a few less friends at the poker table.
