| Good B&M Poker Room in Portlad Oregon area? Hey everybody, I am planning a vacation for this upcoming fall (after the busy season at my job, since i work for an airline and am not allowed to take vacation in the summer) in which my sole purpose will be to go and play poker live. I live in a very small town on the Bristol Bay in Alaska and work for an airline so travel is very affordable for me (even in this economy). I chose Portland because i have some friends that I play online with regularly who live in that area and they are planning on meeting up with me so we can raod trip to the Casino and do some grinding. I dont want to go there and be totally at the mecry of thier knowledge of the area and the games so i thought id reach out here at cards chat and ask a question or two, here it goes: 1) Best Card Room for NLHE? prolly looking at 1/2 or 2/5 stakes 2) when i get to the casino (having only been to a casino once, in a podunk tow in louisiana) is it even possible to do serious table selection? or will i just be put on a list and seated? 3) bearing in mind that i am bringing only money that i can afford to lose (although I dont intend to lose, and wont have a tourists attitude about the game) for the above mentioned stakes how big of a BR do i need to bring with me? 4) Best places to eat in the area of the Casino you are recommending? 5) Best place to stay in the general area of the Casino you reccomend? thanks everyone |
