| Gonna keep track to see I'm not sure where to post this so if it gets moved then I'll know. anyway I'm gonna start today keeping track of all my suckouts and all my badbeats to see if they equal out or one happens more than the other no matter what the game If the money goes in and I suckout with a worse hand I'll write it down and the same for bad beats, I'm pretty sure that my badbeats will far exceed my suckouts I will keep track for lets say 1 month, and like I said any tyoe of game weather it be a freeroll or buyin, tournament or cash, Live or online so on July 15th I'll post my results. |

| re: Gonna keep track to see poker It sounds to me like you are putting way to much time into Bad Beats, take the beat on the chin and forget it, it is not worth it to brood over them, use the energy that you will put into tracking them into posting hand analysis and reading the HA and strategy forums. |

| I was going to start doing this myself about a month ago. The reason was to see if the percentages were holding up (I was winning 75% of the time when I was a 75% favourite in the hand). Then I started to check the odds of the hands I was up against and found out a very scary statistic. Even though your hand may be a favourite going in, its not that big a favourite. Even AK vs A6 is only a 75/25 and AJ vs KQ is only 60/40. Those are very slight advantages. That's why poker is a game of skill over time, any idiot can get lucky and have a rush of cards. If you are going to track anything, track your ROI, review your games and make sure you get your money in ahead most of the time and most of the time you will come out ahead. P.S. I just had this hand while typing my response. What can you do? I know I played it correct. | I'm not playing just for this but it seems to me that when i get my money in with the best of it I always get sucked out on so i jsut want to simply see if I suckout as much as get badbeated, because as it has been noted before people only note their beats not their suckouts and that suckouts happen as much as bad beats. Just to note so far in 6 tournaments its suckouts 2 badbeats 4 |

Whether you get sucked out on more often than the other way around depends on your style/performance. Last edited by D'wilius : 17th June 2009 at 3:56 AM. |
