re: Goin' to Vegas baby! poker Just got back, the MGM has tourneys every day at 11 ($65) plus they are now offering SnG's. Caesars has Tourney's all day, not bad, good players. I hear the new casino at ARIA has tourneys that are good as well. Bellaggio has good cash games during the week, a lot of tourists, stay away on the weekend, the sharks come out GL

Based on locals' & visitors' preferences: #1 >>> Venetian #2 >>> Wynn -- The Wynn Classic is occurring through 03.17. #3 >>> Bellagio Honorable Mentions >>> Caesars Palace >>> MGM Grand >>> Red Rock >>> Aria GL & have fun! PS Rain forecast beginning tonight through Wed (03.08-03.10).

I'm going to Vegas soon as well. Are the cash games - specifically, 30/60 hold 'em - easier at the Venetian than at Bellagio during the weekend? I've been to the Venetian before, and the action seemed dead. I have noticed that the games at the Bellagio have gotten tougher.

Jeez. Ur a high roller. I'm going to Vegas too in a few months so would like to know where the easiest cash games are. I just wanna start at 100NL first, which I've heard is the lowest level available, and move up though because I've practically no experience of playing live. Can someone tell me is 100NL ridiculously weak in Vegas and what level would be equivalent to 50NL or 100 NL online? |

There is only one place on the strip that has 100nl, and that's at Bill's Gambling hall. It plays like 0.05/0.10 online for the most part. Last time I played there, there were 3 regs at the table, only one of which was even remotely average. One was weak tight and the other one was a huge fish that would shove with top pair no matter what. The rest of the people were all tourists that barely knew the rules of poker. Everywhere else, the lowest limit is 200nl. I've played 200nl at MGM, Flamingo, Harrahs and Mandalay bay. Of those, it just depends on the table from my experience. I had a brutally tough cash game table at Harrahs on a Tuesday afternoon once, but of the 2 MTT's I've played there, I bubbled one and I won the other and the play was terrible both times. The softest table I ever had was at MGM. I actually started feeling guilty after about an hour and a half because I just ran everyone over, but like I said, there is no golden spot of softness, it's table dependant. As a general rule, what you will end up seeing everywhere is a lot of limping by lots of people. People don't get on a plane and fly to Vegas to fold. If I had one suggestion, play at a poker room that is easy to see and convienent to get to. This allows for a higher percentage of casual players to walk past and just sit down to play. The rooms that are hidden off in a corner somewhere tend to get people that are actively looking to play poker. I think thats why MGM was soft, it is out in the middle and easy to see. Also, pay attention !!!! You will be able to pick out the fish quickly if you pay attention to the hands you aren't involved in instead of oogling the cocktail waitresses.

OK, I'm back. Played tourneys at the MGM, Caesar's and Mandalay Bay (where I was staying). Cashed in one tourney. Liked Caesar's the best. Also played a cash game. Don't ask about that game......donks and bad beats (multiple) the story of that game.

re: Goin' to Vegas baby! poker I also found the tournaments at caesars to be very well structured. Next time try the tournaments at venetian. They are probably the best structure. That site all vegas poker was also very helpful to me as well. It has tons of information for someone thinking of going to vegas and planning on playing poker.
