I've only played with you a few times Misch, but just in case you haven't heard, you do have a rep for being a little loose. It doesn't take long for an observant opponent to pick up on this. Once you've been tagged as LAG, fairly or unfairly, there are certain types of hands you can no longer raise with. As chuck said, HH's? Let's see if we can find a strategy that works for you, not against you. Don't just give up, look for the problem and solve it.

Hit a sore spot did I Misch? I have about 70 hands on you. As I said, I haven't played with you often, but I've read many of your posts and those of other CC'ers who have as well as the revealed hole cards tournaments with commentary from DM. It is my opinion that you have a reputation for overplaying weak hands and attempting ill advised bluffs. Be that as it may, reputations aren't always fair or accurate. Your table image is at least as important as table position or hand selection. Once you've been identified as overly loose or aggressive, there are certain types of plays that are no longer available to you. You can't bluff, you can't raise with Q9o, and you can forget about stealing blinds. If you don't have the goods, you lose. It doesn't mean you have to give up on aggressive play completely, but you'll have to be Gus Hansen or Ted Forest after the flop to be successful.
You may not want to listen to me Misch, but I do know a little about this game. You obviously want some constructive criticism or else this thread is just pointless. Or was the point merely to inform us that you are no longer playing ring games. I suppose there might be somone here who would find that interesting. |

Lol, ok, seriously, I'm sure you'll just cool off and be back to playing cash tables again in like a couple days. I don't now much about your ring game to comment on it, but certain people's style are better fit for SnGs and MTTs rather than cash tables. Maybe you really just dont adjust your style for cash tables from SnGs, you have to realize that most of the time you have to play two slightly different styles of play to be successful at both. |
