| Getting donks to pay you off Been looking at a new theory. When the pot has been raised and it is a decent size and you hit a hand. Taking a long term to bet seems to make donks call more. Perhaps they see potential 4 outers and go for them rather than insta folding with the air that they actually have. Has anybody got any thoughts? |

| According to Sklansky, you are not supposed to give your opponents time to put you on a hand. So you are right on to do the opposite, especially in trickier situations, and give yourself and everyone else on the table time to put your opponents on hands. |
