| General Level Of Poker In Vegas I am a reasonable player who makes a modest profit. I was wondering what the general level of poker playing is in Las Vegas compared to live cardrooms elsewhere. I live in the UK and play in some live tournaments and will hopefully be visiting Vegas for the first time next year. Are there a lot of tourists who have rarely or never played before there who drink a lot and throw away money? Is it easier to win money at poker there than elsewhere? Or are there proportionately too many strong players who compete there? The cardrooms I am used to going to are only frequented by regular players who play quite a lot, many weak players but few who as much don't have a clue as I would imagine some tourists in Vegas who are just playing because they are on holiday. |

| I was in Vegas last year for the 1st time and I can assure you, there are many drunk fish late at night at the poker tables. You should google "las vegas conventions" and try to be there when a huge convention of pencil salesmen or something is taking place. Flick yer line out and reel in the fish. Also be prepared to go all in pre flop just like a freeroll too. |
