Is the Gambling Commission useless or what?

I run a league in bowling club and have contacted the gambling commission for clarification of the law in the UK on numerous occasions.

Evertime I email a query to the Gambling Commission in the UK I get a useless response quoting the law back to me.

As I see it, it is in their interests to be transparent and give their view of what the law actually means since that is what they will apply as the regulatory body.

That way folk like me who want to comply will comply and wont accidently breach any of the provisions of the law.

Anyone else feel they are less than helpful?
