It's the 'FU, You Ain't Got Squat' attitude that kills many (if not all) of us in tourney play. .. The realization that we suffer from it is crucial (IMHO) to understanding our play and curing ourselves of this syndrome.

The third thing, now that you have a handle on your condition, is to realize specific treatments. Post how you deal with this FUYAGS syndrome IF you have realized you suffer its gawd demented effects, or some other insightful ditty about your own coming to terms with this STD.

I'll admit I suffer from this disorder too, so much so that I recently taped to my monitor a bit of paper with the words "Patience, Caution, Credit" on it. One of my biggest cash game leaks has been committing a lot of chips when I think someone is trying to bluff me and failing to give other players credit for having hands. At the limits I play (up to 50NL) that overbet shove on the river often really is the flush whether I want to believe it or not. I'm a recovering FUYAGSer.

it's simple. most players are bad, especially at lower buyins. And unless they are tilting away, bad players don't play back at you without a hand.

Find a fold and get them the next time.

Something about large MTT's makes me really antsy and I end up shoving in terrible situations.

Im def. guilty of this but its so hard to not do truthfully, I might have to try that out putting signs up of patience and rethink or something.

If untreated, FUYAGS can develop into FUYDGSB (FU You DO Got Squat, But....), which is a far more debilitating and painful disorder, that is so much harder to treat.

I'm guilty of 4 bet shoving with air so I voted fu-bastard.

I'm especially tickled with how I integrated both Cake and Bastard and gave them relevance........
