Funny Story

Just thought id post this story from a recent live tourny I was playing in.

We don't get provided dealers and I was dealing, I quickly figured out the guy on my left was new to the game through not posting th correct blind amounts, acting out of turn and leaving cards in the muck ater being dealt, i helped him along a bit and he revealed it was it first time playing(I incorrectly presumed he meant at a casino or live not his first time ever).

Anyway he's survived the first couple of levels doing quite well with some very questionable calls and hitting a couple of mircle straights and flushes. I was in the small blind and it was folded round to me I looked at 10-4 off and not waning to give him a easy walk I called, he checked. Flop Came 10-8-8 rainbowblinds were 400/200 so I decided to pop 600 at him and he called, turn came another 10. I checked and he raised 1,500. I decided that if he had pocket 8s then fair do's but I wanted my chips in there with the house so I shoved all-in.

He instantly called I anounced the house, he showed wait for it.........



























........pocket sixes and asked if I was ahead of 3 pairs.

lol, wow, I have to admit I wasn't expecting it to be that bad. That's pretty funny.

Nice.. I had a similar experience, but the guy turned over two hearts with three diamonds on the board and exclaimed "ALL RED". He actually started to rake the pot.

How about this one....

Im dealing a tournament at a local golf course. The owner of the course is playing in his first tournament. This was for charity. He is sitting in seat 1 and is on the button. This is the first hand of the tourney.The table folds to him and he calls the big blind 25/50. Small blind also calls the 25. Big blind raises to 200, seat 1 calls and SB folds. Flop comes A-8-4 rainbow. Big blind bets 200, insta call by seat 1. Next card is a 10. BB bets 600. Insta call by seat 1. Last card is a K. BB goes all-in, without hesitation seat 1 calls. I say "show me a winner". BB shows A-K. Seat 1 shows 9-5 os. Then declares to the table......



" I was trying to bluff him out of the pot"

You really had a perfect answer. When he said, "Can you beat 3 pair?" you should have said, "Yes, I have 2 three of a kinds."

That is funny, at the begining of the story i laughed because the thing happened to me monday with a newcommer to the game to my left. For a second i was starting to think we were at the same table. But getting to the end of the story i forgot it was a funny story i thought it was a bad beat comming, then i heard he lost and was like ohhh lol lmao he he

that's funny!!! while i do find myself helping new players out from time to time, i've never heard the "three pair" line before, i can't wait to tell some of my buddies that story!!

Thought I'd add his reason for playing was because he had watched a documentry on Gus Hanson and how nuch he had made in the game and thought he'd give it a shot.
