full tilt knockout tournament ive never heard of a knockout tournament until about an hour ago when i saw full tilt have just brought it in. basicly what ive gathered is that you get a certain amount of money every time you bust a player. thats really all i know though, so i was hoping somone on here would explain a bit more and if they like that style tournament say about whether people play more aggressive to try to get the knockout bonus and what the best way to win these tournaments is.

Its called a bounty tournament. I have never played in one of these tournys, but its just like you said. They put a bounty on certain people or everyone, and if you knock that person out of the tournament, you get the money. Not sure of how the playing style is in these.

These tournaments are a lot of fun apparently. I've never been in one but my friend has and he says that along with being really LAG in points if you're in push/fold mode you're screwed, as anyone with a comfortable stack will call with EXTREMELY marginal hands (including 52o which he busted out to) in the hopes of picking up your bounty. Good fun though I think and if I had $150 lying around I'd definately give it a shot Last edited by jaketrevvor : 15th November 2007 at 9:28 PM.

re: full tilt knockout tournament poker I played in a 3+30 of these the other day. I missed my big chance when it folded round to me on the button. I raised with a sooted Q5 only for the SB and BB to both push. They both had smaller stacks than me so it was tempting to call but I let my brain take over my gut and folded. They both had decent hands but my sooted would have taken em both, got me a $, and a very nice stack from which to play on. But I didn't and ended up being donked a few hands later. Nice concept though. I'll try it again soon. Definitely a massive advantage to have a big stack early on in these. Basically from the $3 buy-in $2.50 of it went to the prize pool as in any other tourney and 50c goes on your head!

i have played in about maybe 5 of these, and have only picket up 1 bounty, I am not very good at MTT's, so i rarely play them. you are going to get called all in with a variety of hands, so if you are going all in to steal some blinds with a short stack, expect to get called

haha well just little more work i guess...i think it is funny that people would be willing to get crazy and just go after n e thing since the bounty is only $.50, well in the 3.30 1....i mean that gets u nothing really, like risk vs reward haha for playing crappy hands i mean...just calling every all-in hoping for a KO...but w/e i guess that means next time i try 1 ther should be donks for me to KO.....eh hopefully!
