FTOPS and MINI TOPS?

So, this year is the first time I have ever seen any of these but then again this is the only year I have been playing online. I was just wondering if anyone knows whether these happen the same time each year or just randomly throughout the year?

Unfortunately, I missed out this year because of going on a 2 day tilt losing most of my banrkoll, but if it is yearly, next year I will tear it up.

A lot of sites (like pokerstars) run several different tournament series throughout the year. I don't play on tilt so I am not sure entirely, but they probably should have some sort of fall or winter tournament series (as this is getting popular on almost every site)

these are really good gives people with not alot of money in their bankroll a chance to hit it big.....
