That said, how you spend your time really is up to you. If you enjoyed your time and had fun en route to winning your ticket, and particularly if you also learned something from the experience and perhaps bettered your poker game -- then I wouldn't say it was a waste of time at all.

However, if what you are truly after is just cash to get started with by far the easiest ways to do so is to get a starting cash promotion from a site or to play in private freerolls or freerolls with selective fields and large prize pools.
