| Freeroll Thoughts No television now as since I just moved the satelite won't get here until the 19th. I just moved into my new appartment and spent a ton of mula on furniture and deposits for things so no $ for a deposit for a while either... so I just been poking around different sites and looking to see who had the best and worst freerolls since I gotta start up a br agian. I started to register for a weekly 1k freeroll satelite on tilt and then I clicked on the actuall 1k freeroll tourney and noticed that only 90 people get paid in a 2 step freeroll!? Over 4,000 people had already won tickets and registered for this thing. Why waste that much time for so little money. So a couple of questions come to mind from this: 1. Do you think this is worse or Stars freerolls? 2. Does anyone see this as not a waste of time or see some positives in doing these? 3. Does another site that I don't know about have a worse freeroll system than this one? |

| Well Since I'm the Free-Roll Whore on this site, I'll answer it for you to the best of my Ability... Full-Tilt, and Poker-Stars Free-Rolls are actually, very Good to Join (I personally like Poker-Stars over Tilt though)...The reasons aren't really for the Money I mean the money If you end up beating something like 10k ppl is actually not really worth it is it? I mean 10k Field and First is $240 Free, I don't think so, but It's not a bad little BR either, correct? So what's the Bright-side to it you ask? Well the Bright-Side is the Experience you gain by playing in these donk fests...The Experience I'm talking about is actually making past a ton of donks, and being Patient! Also you gain points toward Leader-Boards, which I mean, It's gonna take alot of hard work and all, but It can be done though.... And Did I mention the money... Now If you looking for a better Free-Roll there's actually tons that do payout money, and it's actually also worth it just have to search around...Like the Lambo Free-Roll on Stars is actually worth it, If can Out-last like 9980 or so Fields in the 1st round, and win actually win the 2nd round then you would have a BR 5k and also be in the 3rd round.... Anyways GL with w/e you decided... |

Am I saying everyone can do this, no! What I am saying is that A) Dreams aren't bad, B) It is possible to do such a thing, C) If I'm not mistaken you've already stated that you can't depoist for sometime as you've used up your money, so there-fore, what better way do you have to actually spend your time rather then Free-Rolling ? I'm a person who likes the long shot, so that's why I Actually spend most of my time on long shots ..Don't get me wrong I can afford to play now on Carbon Poker, but I mean I still Like Free-Rolls, why Because do you know How hard it really is to win 1? When Someone really doesn't care weather they win or lose, yet to you, your thinking of the Bigger picture |

The free-rolls I've played on Carbon are the normal ones (until I can get my Privileges back to norm to play these ones CC games)... |

| re: Freeroll Thoughts poker naruto miu I have a question: What is your strategy ? My best result was a 5th place in a FTP-Tournament freeroll... ...but that was pure luck and after a slow beginning and almost endless tight play, I got a few good cards before the final table and won three all ins in a row...! Went with over 3 Million chips to the final table and got beaten with QQ vs. KK... I see players having that much luck, they make 60-80K chips in the first hour, where I usually am happy to survive with 8-10k chips... Are they just lucky donks ? I can't believe it, but it looks sometimes so... I know some tournament strategies, but I would like to know what you do... Thanks... |

| I don’t like the normal Pokerstars freerolls, because u have to play 1 freeroll to get a ticket to play in the Saturday or Sunday freeroll. The 1st freerolls (satellite) takes forever and its payout is bad- like what top 100 get a ticket to the tourn on the weekend? The ones on the weekend have a regular tourn payout so thats good but it’s a lot of time to invest and if u don’t cash on the weekend u have to start all over again by getting the saty ticket again. Which makes it worse. The full tilt freerolls are better. U play and get paid right there, unlike Pokerstars. I really used to love the old full tilt freerolls -top 27 out of 2700 ppl cash. But now the payout has gotten worse, so im not a big fan of their freerolls anymore. I still like the 40$ playchip freeroll at full tilt. Its everynight and u get 2$ to cash. The payout is similar to a real tourn- its like a 18 out of 60-80ppl. For all the time u spent trying to get tickets on Pokerstars- u should be able to build a playchip bankroll to support playing the 500k freeroll almost everyday. Lolol. Im a mediocre player and I made 10m in playchips in 7-8 days, so if I can do it- any1 can. So id say the 500k playchip freeroll at full tilt with its entry requirements and payout is a better option. |

I see...!!! Thanks for the answer... I think I am not close to call me a good poker player and my aggressiveness is almost not existing. The way I play right now is not worth to say I play... Now after 4 month of online poker, I can say that I have a long way to go. I have to find out how to play and maybe a lot I don't know about right now...! I wish you good luck for all your games and you have my respect! |

I would find some way to just make a deposit... even if it's only $20. At least you could take shots in the 10cent rebuy at 17:35 (has gd payouts on final table), some 2nl, and maybe 'The DailyDollar'. Anything is better than playing the pokersite freerolls. I just can't see any positives if you already know how to play.... or if you're a halfway competent player. (I might play a freeroll if I'm busy working on my computer doing something different than playing poker.... rarely looking at the table ever... but not doing this very often). |

The easiest and quickest freeroll has to be the satellite to the daily dollar. 300 starting chips, is a tough start but after getting to a playable stack it becomes more like a regular game. 200 places paid. Once you've got your dollar you can follow the Orifice suggestions. If it doesn't work, there's always the next day. Or the satellite to the Ferguson. |

| re: Freeroll Thoughts poker After depositing and losing a bunch o money, I tried the Ferguson Challenge. Starting with $0 three months ago, I finally cashed in a FTP FR (44th out of 7500) for $.90. Immediately played the $.70 satty to the BLT and won the $2.20 entry. Unregistered and played $.95 + $.05 HU and won. Now I have $3.20 from zero. the next day I played the DD on FTP and got to 340th and won $4.20. I am now up to $12.90 on FTP and have 4 RD2 tix and 2 RD2 Tix on PS... I am still paying all the FR on both sites without playing money games and having fun. I know i have not followed the CF BRM as he instructed but WTF, got lucky anyway. I will still play any FR while salivating over money games and hope that one day have the BR to start my conquest of the poker world... |

Last night I ended up cashing in the US $250 freeroll, one a dollar tournament ticket in the ferguson satty, and then came in third in the Ferguson for 63 bucks. So Im not saying freerolls are a complete waste, I was just wondering why some people like to play the freerolls where you are a drastic long shot and it would take about 4-5 hours to finnish if you did win and for the prize/money that you get. On a side note it was pretty fun going from O-60+ in one day. |

| my thoughts I would have to say Bodog (only two a day tho), and the merge network (Carbon,Reefer etc.) are not bad either. They are every four hours. I'm on social security and play Micro stakes and frerolls alot. I have won a couple of the CC's freerolls. I've learned alot playing CC freerolls, I remember when I first got to play I wouldn't last 15 minutes. Now I cash every once in awhile. The people here are top notch players (except me lol). I play the freerolls like they were $500 buy-ins, that way I don't pick up bad habits. Good luck and take care. |

That's also a very bad Mentality to have...Look Lets put it like this, you start with 0, after a few try's you win a game ($60)...Now you run that up to say 2k.....Now your telling me if you lose that 2k that it's no sweat of've your back since you never deposited ? I mean look What Good Fortune I've had because I've worked and built it up! Now for me to just throw it away is really as pointless as playing the game to begin with...It's the same as playing without an actual goal |

| Site freerolls are a waste of time. Too many players and not enough prize money. Forum freerolls can be good or bad depending on the forum. Avoid freerolls that have way to many players. Divid the number of players into the prize money and if the number's less than .5 stay away. This forum has good freerolls. Play here. |

However guys (and dolls) I wouldn't just dismiss all other freerolls without stopping and considering what poker is about: 1) Playing and having fun. 2) Making big bucks and fulfilling dreams. If you divide the number of players into the prize money, some of the popular buyins start looking like longshots that aren't worth the effort. Whilst I am playing I can dream of having a Lambourghini, (well I will do tomorrow, and the day after, and every day until the promotion ends). But I also believe that if I can manage to play better than average, then I will have a better than average chance of winning. (unless there is more to life than just poker and something better to spend the time on) (Admittedly for me, I don't have time to spend on the pokerstars astronomer satellites to qualify for a game of a different type to the one I qualified from, or the fulltilt fields to qualify for a game on sunday and I never understood play money or the now passed freerolls for a DVD), but I suppose for some people they at least satisfy the first criteria. |

| my opion on the matter Well i do see an advantage cause someone has to win the money right ?? And you know how many people just register for that and just sign in and there is never a real person right ? So basiclly everytime its them you raise they fold automaticlly- Thats got to bring down the number some right? As far as other sites. I havnt played other sites besides FTP any suggestions anyone ? |

| My personal feeling is the FT and PS freerolls and other multi-thousand player freerolls with low payouts are not worth the time. 1. With the thousands of players, they take hours to play. 2. They are donkfest. Your premium hands will be called/raised with trash repeatedly. Although you may be a favorite in each of these hands, eventually someone will suck out on you. Might as well play the lottery. 3. Since they are donkfests, I don't think you really learn much. Bottom line, avoid them....perhaps unless you are playing other tourneys and can spend a minimum of attention on the freerolls while otherwise engaged in meaningful play. CC freerolls and others with limited entries are another matter. They are well worth it. |
