PPParty Poker is probably the best known online poker room. Use the Party Poker bonus code CC500 for a 100% upto $500 deposit bonus.

PokerStarsPokerStars is one of the best poker sites on the internet. They accept US players and using PokerStars marketing code CARDSCHAT you get a $75 bonus.

yeps. It's almost as bad as dodging 10,000 at party poker...good times. But then again, I just saw a Royal Vegal free roll with almost 12,000 entrants. Seems odd..they usually only have around 4 k sign up.

I love the Party Poker free rolls. Even though I don't place top 10, top 100 is a regular for me. Thats a hell of a feat for 7000-10000 entrants.

usually in freerolls you'll make top 40% by not doing anything at all, and just paying the blinds.. i played on one of those pokerstars freeroll qualifiers once, i was maybe 6-7 place and two hours into the tournament. it was getting pretty late and i realized that it was a big waste of time, so i just left.

Nice Finish!

First, that is a hell of a finish...congrats!

Second, the prize for all that effort and time SUCKS! I entered a Party Poker FR where the top prize was something like $65. There were 4500 entries and play took 5+ hours to finish. I figured that I would have to finish top two just to make my normal hourly earnings at the cash tables. Instead I just made it into the money and cashed for $1.50...about $.35 an hour. Not gonna do that anymore.

I have decided to try and make my time online pay well for me. I no longer play the FRs that pay out little or nothing. I really enjoy the MTT, but I just can't stand the idea of playing 5 hours, finishing 12th and cashing for a whooping $24. I am saving my Party Points to buy into the $100,000 FR tourney. I have 2200 points and only 17,800 to go. (Of course, then I will overplay my QQ and bust out in the first hour...you know how it is.)

i don't understand why you considered it a waste of time only after you finished - didn't you know what the prizes were before you played for 5 hours? 15 is a good finish for those absurd freerolls (nice job), and if you finish that well in the $1000 tourney, that should at least pay out a few bucks.

i agree that the whole freeroll scene is pretty rediculous - i have played a few at party poker and couldn't get any better than 23 out of 7000. its a long time to play to make like 2 bucks. i think i could make more per hour just scratching my ass. . .

anyway, thats still a nice finish to swim through so many players. at least its something to be happy about. let us know how you do in the $1000 tourney. hopefully you can make enough to invest in a SnG or two. . . good luck.
