Well it looks like a group from another forum - so you are either sharing a private password or promoting a freeroll from a group at another forum.

Which is it? Either way you are in trouble. One is just a bit worse than the other.

At a glance I thought this person was just inviting folks to a freeroll they funded and set up.

I suppose I'll not play in it seeing as it might be someone sharing passwords for someone ELSE'S freeroll.

....I have to apologize too I guess - while scanning new posts I saw this - looked for the tourney and saw a well known cc -member

there and thought it was legitimate.

I apologize as well, I was playing in it and didn't realize it wasn't legit until until someone in the tourny asked why there were twice as many registrants as Outlaw members. I explained what happened and have sat out. Shucks, and I had already doubled up once...

It was a planned sting and you are all busted.

I heard of someone the other night who got banned because apparently he/she had shared a password..they had said it was stolen from their computer...someother person logged on and stole it at their workplace. My question is ..how would someone actually get caught...or better yet..how is it possible to prove this...word of mouth is pretty untraceable if other parties refuse to say anything?? please tell me your thoughts??

I joined CardsChat a while back because I'd heard it's good one and wanted to see for myself but then I got sidetracked with my involvement in another forum I belong to. In this other forum they have clans and I am a very active member in the OUTLAW clan this freeroll was intended for. Much to our surprise wat shud of been a small freeroll for just our members grew to 3x's its normal size. Most of the non-members that jumped it were very nice and a few even volunteered to sit out and were told to stay and play their best game... then there were some that were extemely rude, hateful and trash talkers and I wud like to think they weren't from this forum even though they proudly said they were....sad, very sad they were representing Cards Chat~!!

I would like to thank the moderator on getting the password for this members only freeroll off the blog as quickly as they did...JOB WELL DONE and THANK YOU

As a member of the Outlaws I would like to say that this it is ashame that you had to steal the password when all that was necessary was to request membership into the clan. It does not take much effort to become a clan member. The point of having a private freeroll is to have it for members only. As a member of multiple poker communities I think it is kinda pathetic that you have to steal a password when there are so few requirements to get it legitimately.

Who are you talking to? The OP is banned. Unless this is just a way of trying to generate more interest for this particular clan...

I hope this is directed at the original poster, as we here at Cardschat have an absolute zero tolerance for password sharing. As you can see, the offender is banned.

Just a note for all, if you see anyone posting any kind of password, report it immediately for us to review. 99.9% of the time it is some password thief who needs to be kicked from the boards.

Anything's possible,but most likely this person was making up a good excuse for thinking "ahh no big deal to share a password for a freeroll". But it is a big deal around here and people need to learn to respect that or as JQ says "GTFO". I will mention though that a couple of times when I was on the site and who knows,maybe I was clicking too fast, I was taken to another members home page. I immediately got out and restarted the computer. I have read that this has happened to others as well. Is it something to be concerned about or just a minor glitch that pops up now and again and should be reported?

password sharing idiots are the reason why normal people like me, who wants to enjoy this site, can't enjoy to the max. At first, admin requires high number of posts to enter freeroll. although i didn't care much bcz i came to this site for strategy articles, i wanted to try out the freerolls but now i can see the reason why admins don't share password. Idiots spread the password. when will idiots realize that spreading password = less money for you and harder for you to cash since you're diluting the prize pool. IDIOTS.

yeah, people like that really do ruin it for everyone else, once the password is out, the floodgates open
