Well, I dont really understand what it is. Looks like just a bunch of articles and videos to help people play better poker. There are alot of articles and videos online already that would help people play much better poker. Most people dont utilize these, why would this be any different?? Perhaps I am not understanding this, it was kind of confusing.

its not as bad as I thought, here is email from stars.

Hello Brian,

Thank you for your feedback.

At this time there is so much free information available on the
internet
like forums, video tutorials, articles, and e-books everywhere. It is
accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world. So it's not like poor
players
don't have access to a lot of information anyway.

This web site, although will be helpful, won't change the way the
majority
of people play. There will still be thousands of new players without
much
knowledge of the game. Also, a lot of players are ignorant and believe
they are the best at this game. Those players will never learn
anything,
and will always be easy money to the players that are willing to take
the
time to learn.

You will notice that most online poker sites have similar form of
articles
teaching people to play. Does that make those sites that have that
information a lot tougher than others? From my experience, I don't
think
so.

So I don't think this web site, will change the world of poker. Though
it
will help a few players, that would have found information elsewhere,
but
choose to find it here because they like PokerStars, and we offer just
as
good material as anywhere else.

If you need assistance with anything else, please do not hesitate to
contact us as we will gladly assist you 24/7.

Regards,

Mathew

It shouldn't matter to you or anyone else if the not so good players are trying to learn how to get better. I mean really now, almost everything in life offeres a way to learn and get better. The only thing is that not everyone chooses the option to get better.

I personally don't play on Pokerstars but I think the reason why Pokerstars is offering the service is because players may want to test their skills out there after reading the articles and all that jazz. You may have heard of something called "marketing".

actually when someone sent this to me I was under the impression it helped them play hands while they were playing it like some program but after reading up on it and seeing email I realized that is not how it works.

And even if it were to work like that, none of the players who would use it would understand WHY the program would tell them to do such and such and they would very often do the contrary. I remember Party Poker having (in play money games) a program that would tell you what to do and it was pretty godawful, telling you to fold KJ suited on the button when there was a MP raise and two callers (this is LHE).
