food while you're playing poker Hello there, I'm just curious as to what kinds of snacks and food and stuff people like to eat while they're playing poker. Personally, I love Cheetos. I found kind of a cute article on the subject: Poker Party Food and Drink Ideas - Associated Content

At the casino, I have never eaten. That was because I was playing at the $40 tables and usually only play a couple hours. The Bicycle Casino (Los Angeles) does have a players club card whereby they scan you at the table. I hear that if they scan you three times you get a free meal but I'm not there long enough. I sat down at the Bicycle Club's $100 tables last weekend and found out that we get free food without having to wait for three scans! No more $40 tables for me

playing online i tend to eat whatever my ravishing and vivacious trophy wife Candy (yes, that is her real name) puts in front of me. playing in a brickandmortarcasino i tend to keep it light...fruit and veggies, non-sugary drinks (water mainly), raw nuts (love them almonds), and absolutely no booze. in my decrepitude anything heavier will likely make me sleepy and either tick off or overjoy my competition.

Cookies, Vinegar and Salt Chips, and Beer In live games, usually someone will bring cookies, and I always bring vinegar and salt chips. But I've found that last few times I've played that the correct beer consumption rate has greatly enhanced my game. I give the credit for my last tournament win to Milwaukee's best.

I tend to not eat anything while playing live in casinos. Eating a sandwich or chips with your hands and then touching those dirty chips that are being touched by everyone ... yuk. Of course, this means that sometimes I go 8-14 hours without a meal. At home, aside from regular noshing, I have seen how important it is to keep the food and drink coming if you ever go deep into a multi-table tournament. You don't want to be making big decisions while your stomach is growling.
