Following a fish to higher stakes? Ive been playing Heads-up sit n gos at cake poker. The site is small enough that you see many players again and again at your stakes. Ive taken notes really well and done some Sharkscope research on them as well to see if their profitable players and if they're on a good or bad run. I have a bankroll of a little over $100 and have been playing the $3 games. Recently I saw a guy that Ive got alot of notes on and have had very good success against him previously. He was registered for a $10 heads-up SnG. Ignoring my usual bankroll management I took this one shot and played him. I ended up losing when I turned a straight and he rivered a flush. My question is this. Is it wrong to occassionally venture slightly out of BR management when you feel you have a decided advantage over a player. Thanks.

to me, no need to get greedy, whats the hurry to build a BR, repeat what happened to you (when he rivered the flush) thats pretty standard, happens alot still a suckout, but be prepared to be beaten 3-4 times like that even in a row and since you're playing higher limits (chasing after fish)I wouldn't be surpised if you lost 4 games in a row on suckouts, tilt would enter the fray and your game would hinder more.

re: Following a fish to higher stakes? poker Its a tough one, because you have a clear edge over him then you should take the shot but then it isn't good BR management, three $3 ones would reduce variance, why not ask hime to play more than one table at a time?
