Florida Man Followed Home and Robbed of Hold Em Money

Saw in the paper this morning that a 72 year old man played Hold Em at Hard Rock in Fort Lauderdale, won a few grand and was followed home and robbed of $4000! But he did not give up easy, ditching his wife at home and following the bandits up to 60 mph and trying to ram them! They got away, I don't make this stuff up......

Unbelievable, he is lucky to be around to tell the story. It may want to think about getting a CWP.

This is apparently a growing trend. Something like it, though not so dramatic, happened recently in the Cincinnati OH area. A cause for alarm and caution, that's for sure.

Plantation police said Gigliotti's decision to chase the robbers is not recommended, no matter how many cop shows a victim has watched.

as for the CWP, Florida has very strong domain protection laws. Not to recommend violence, but there are a lot of laws on your side here. Be educated about it if you do decide this is for you.

I guess this is why the big names in Vegas keep there money at the casino. I wonder if this will be a regular occurrence in Florida now that the laws have changed the game.

Same thing happened to Dolly years ago... they jumped him at his door and he faked a heart attack and they ran, if I recall right...

Whats really messed up is that he was a regular. If any of you played there a lot you probly know him. He was a regular to the 5/10 and played BJ a ton too. Awesome guy, super nice, and great to have at your table. Always wears a black t-shirt and shorts.

The security concerns were an issue prior to the Florida limit change. This is a major issue for some people. They think it will effect the high stakes action. I have never had an issue with it.
