What a game when you flop the nuts, right? Always nice when the other guy has a monster as well though. I couldn't really tell other than you won the hand. But did you get much out of him? I see that he caught next to nothing.

to get the maximum from the "nuts" it has a lot to do with how the table sees you. If you are a tight player i would suggest a check/raise strategy
but if they see you as agressive maybe a pot sized bet might spark their interest. give it a try and let me know. good luck!!

LOL.. yeah. Here's one for you.. im playing live the other night @ harrah's in new orleans, and someone makes it $75 to go preflop in a 10-25 NL game. Im on the button with 9s10s, 4 callers and I call, making 5 people total playing the hand. Flop is JsQsKs. That's the second straight flush i've flopped in my poker career.

Not sure about that, I think it depends on the opponent. I recently called a 4x raise w/AJs against a particularly loose/aggressive player, with the flop coming -6-A-8- rainbow. He bet 1/2 pot so I called. I put him on 77+, KJ-KQ. Turn comes another A which he checked, so I followed. Range shrunk to 77+ KJ+. River was the case A, giving me quads.

He thinks and bets the pot so i'm putting him on a pocket pair above the 8, likely to be 10-KK. I wait and push for the rest of my max buy- in and he insta-calls w/KK (similar stack size ).

Guess it looks to him like I was calling with an 8 on the flop, scared of the board on the turn and pushing my boat on the river, so why not call with a higher boat? Only losing to one card............

If you do flop the nuts... try thinking about what your opponent thinks you have... and take it from there.

I heard that flopping straight flushes can be harmful to those with any respiratory or heart conditions

Hope you are in good health
