Flash Draw after flop , worth going all in??

Ok so this is bugging me. I have gone out on flush draw two weeks in a row and usualy one or two spots away from money.

We play 20 dollar tournaments every week and yesturday there was 4 players left. I was second in chips and the chip leader was a donky calling pretty much anything....Anyway i get AQ same suite (diamonds) Flop comes 2 10 7 (two diamonds) I raised preflop to 3k chips and got called by donky chip leder who had 8 10 off suite. Granted he was big blind at 800. So he goes all in after flop and i know he has a ten but i have flush draw + two over cards. I call and dont get anything.... and get kicked out one spot before money. Did i do the right thing >>? i always though i did but this happend previous week when i had AK of diamonds and idiot called my all in w middle pair a 7 and it held up agains flush + two overcards. The way i see it i have crazy outs but it never comes i have 10 outs on a flush + 6 possible outs on overcards yet they always dissapoint me.

Yesturday 1st place gt 300$ so this is pretty big question here.

It would help if you had hand info, but post flop you were about a 54% favorite, as any diamond, ace, or queen would help you. So the question is do you want to put your tournament life at risk on a coin flip?

You keep talking about the prize money, and if it's that important to you, (Which I imagine it is ) then when it gets close to the bubble you probably don't want to risk your tournament on a coin flip. (Some people like to). So you should just either A) Be patient. or B) Try to play them slower.

And you didn't have a 10 out flush draw.

yah best possble was 10 out because i had 2 diamonds and 2 diamonds were on flop so considering nobody had diamonds it was 10 outs which with 3 players left is a posibility.

i put 3 k preflop and i had about 5 k more in chips, if i won the hand i was pretty much guaranteed to win because i was gona be huge chip leader.

Alright. And just for fun, 13 diamonds in a deck, 2 on flop, 2 in your hand, max of 9 outs. But next time it happens, just let the hand go and see how you finish.

And how is it that first place is 300 dollars, and that there are only 3 people left. Whats the bubble position?

Just have a look at his draw cards and what he called with ... i'm still in total disbelief - the win would have probably put me up there with the cheap leaders..

guys i am so pissed i am thinking about quitting. today again we played 10 dollar buy in...

3 players left i am chip leader...Guy goes all in i call w AK pre flop... he shows Q3 suited obviously bluffin... guess what he gets his flush....

Next hand I get K Q guy goes all in... i call , he shows K 4 ofsuit pre flop.....Yah guess who wins .. so i go from chip leader to out in two hands both times i had crazy advantage....

Guys i feel i make all the right calls and thats what gets me to final table all the time but it seems like my luck is crazy bad when i get to one place before money. Today only 1 and 2 place got paid because it was only 10 buy in. and i got out 3rd. Keep in mind we usually have 20 people playing so i beat good amount of people but i run bad when it gets to final few.

If you knew what he might have,then it didn't worth the risk of a possible draw....At that point of the tournament you ought to play only secure cards!

The reality is that you can play absolutely correctly and still lose. To quote Mike Matusow, "There is no justice in poker!" I also have a hard time dealing with bad beats. But, I know that in the long run, (if I live that long) playing correctly will win. It's dealing with the short run that is frustrating.

What i do if i had a flush draw on the flop is slow play , i think dumb people will go all in because your tryin to get as many chips you can . i think slow play is the best idea . And also what if the card you needed didnt even show up .. and you already went all in .. too late

I wouldn't go all in with those hands near bubble, but i would go in most of the cases unless it was too big of a raise to call with.

Flush draw is the sweetest hand and seems to always what gets me as I'll have the best hand at the flop then my oppenent hits hise flush on the turn or river or even both runner runner.

Flush draw in my opinion is a very strong hand in Holdem and can beat anything at any given time

With the flush draw & 2 overcards in the first scenario you're ahead (marginally), so it's entirely situational as to whether you call this guy.

Generally at this stage of a tournament I wouldn't bother. If it was a cash game I'd call every time. This sort of scenario is where the whole difference between cash games and tournaments comes into affect. I don't know what the payout schedule was for this tournament, but in a cash game this call would be +EV, whereas at this stage of the tournament it's likely it was a -EV call.

If the person pushing in front of you is a really good player then you might want to take a little gamble to try to knock him out right there. If he's a complete donkey, like the guy you've described, then IMO you're better off waiting for a spot where you're a huge favourite, or folding and continuing to chip away at his stack in later pots.
