| Finally moved up to some big games :D I've mostly been a $1/2 and $1/3 live player for the last 2 years. I've been making a lot of improvements to my game, and have been playing in a biggish $1/$2 home game (where everyone is about 200+BB deep). This weekend I finally played a bunch of $3/5 games as well as a $5/10 game. I was surprised that the level of play wasn't as tough as I expected. I crushed all of the $3/5 games and came out ahead in the $5/10, as well. $5/10 made me a bit nervous simply because the bets were so big compared to what I was used to. But I made a lot of good decisions despite the pressure of the bigger bets and trusted my math and gut instincts. I was a bit surprised that that level still had a bunch of donks in there, but there were also a number of serious pros in that game whom I found pretty scary. Those guys could read me really well which was pretty unsettling. Overall I had a $2700+ weekend which is probably my best single-weekend run. I think I'm mostly gonna stick to $3/5 for now and wait to build up some more bankroll before spending more time in $5/10. |

| Congrats on the win, but if you are still going to play the 3/5 games be VERY wary of game selection and be very confident you can beat it. Live games require a much bigger bankroll to play in. At the 3/5 level you should have at LEAST 20k to not play scared money and make correction decisions. As far as 5/10, why would you want to play a game with pros? You can still make a puke-ton of money playing 3/5 with less risk. |

I just feel like paying my car payment and going out to eat. And you dont HAVE to play with people better than you, you can simply post questions/situations/whatever on these forums and improve that way... |
