Favorite hand

just wondering...does anyone have a favorite hand they like to play every now and then? if so how did it become your favorite hand and how has it done for you in the long run?

my favorite hand is J/4 spades..but i'll play them off suit as well.

they became my favorite hand because at a house game i raised on the button with J/4 suited. i hit a jack on flop and called bets all the way down and caught my 4 on the river for a 2 pair win. a few days later at another day, i call a bet with J/4 and flop 2 pair for the win. then at a casino, i called a small raise with J/4 suited and flopped a boat.

so..then i decided that J/4 is my favorite/lucky hand. ive won more hands with it then i have lost.

9 and 6 always seem lucky for me, for some WEIRD reason 7 8 10 always seem to show up on flop/turn/river leaving me with a flush. It's rare I get those cards though.

I'd have to say AK on suit would be my lucky hand, i don't recall ever losing with that hand.
I like it because i was playing for about a £300 pot, and on the flop 3 hearts came up and one A so i called the bet but of course knowing inside me someone had to have the flush then for me the worst card came which was another A leaving me with triple A and a K, i say this was the worst card for me because i had to go with the bet incase they didnt have the flush, so i was sucked in prepared to bet it all and at the that time most likely to lose the guy bet something like £100 so i called and i got the K on the river to win the pot.

I always seem to catch a full boat or flush with King 6 suited. Ive also made over 20 dollars with this hand in a room with the straight flush. The six was the only thing needed and I slowplayed it and someone with Ace high flush ended up going all in. Im still weary to call raises with it but I'll gladly limp in or raise in a late position with it.

J10 suited, i always seem to do well with this hand, although i think probabilty is that you will end up with a hand most of the time with these cards so i am not sure if it counts

Deadman's hand is my favorite A8s... but I'll call 72o in BB or SB, just to see if I can catch something... I love to showdown the worst hand in poker and win!!!

I'd have to agree with douglar02, My favorit hand would have to be Dueces.

I was at a BIG MONEY tourney, pot was 1500, private tourney, It's down to me and one other and for some freakin reason I felt like Pkt two's would win. I'am small blind I raise, flop comes 21010, I'm like ya know noway my hands beat, I go all in not thinking he'd call but he did, he shows 10 6, OH WOW, so needless to say I about had a heartattack until the river and I didn't win the hand. That was the 2nd time that pkt 2's have won for me tho so ya, cool.

Pocket sixes. If I get pocket sixes, I flop a 4-of. It has happened every single time I've had that hand, for as long as I remember. Incidentally, the first time I played poker, about 3 years ago, I got 66 and flop came 466. Won that hand. When it came down to a heads-up game between some guy and me, I got 66 again. Flop came 966. I bet his all-in, he called with 99, I took it home.

Lovely hand for me.

Jack 10 Suited. Spades usually. If you get Jack 10 of clubs, fold. Clubs are unlucky. Amongst my friends, if you have jack 10, it's known as the Bentz hand.

3-5 is another good one for me. We call it the WRECKING BALL. Any time I am short-stacked, I go all-in with it. Usually, I steal the blinds, but when I don't, I usually bust a pretty big hand.

superstitious hogwash?

I play the odds, but I heard recently a theory about how there are certain cards that hit more often than others at certain sites. It's like the lottery. At one site A 10 of clubs does very well (usually), so this theory goes, at another 4 and 8 of hearts, for example. I dunno, I don't have the time to study all the sites for the best combinations but I suspect it might be true. As to having favorite numbers, I'd say if you are playing at the same spot and they often hit for you, you might have found a winning combo AT THAT SITE. But be careful, I'd say, of "lucky" numbers. I dont like seeing Pocket Aces on Pokerstars. They get cracked much to often. I have two favorite hands, which are KK (heart and diamond because my fav. color is red ) and 10 9 suited of any suit. There are so many possibilities with 10 9 suited.

My favriot hands would have to be suited conectors above 4-5 i usualy use the 2 big bet rule i will call any 2 big bets if 2 callers are in the pot and try to get luky if im realy up i would even cal a all in. But my favriot suited connector so far wold have to be 9 10 spades. I always hit with it but sometimes i obviosly dont. But its a realy good way to disguis your hand the people in the pot with you will have no clue what you are holding.

When I play for money, I'm pretty selective but 38 suited is magical and I try to limp with it whenever possible. I don't know why or if it's just a figment of my imagination but it's been pretty ridiculous. I have the same luck as Ice76 with 44.
