interesting, umm my evolution was actually different, 1-started with play chips, 2-played tiny cash games, lost it all 3-started playing sngs/mtts, break even barely made anything. 4-started making ft's in mtts/started making money 5-moved up to mid levels, still made mistakes but was a lot better 6-moved up to where im now, I play mid to high level mtts and mid to high sngs, I'm ok at 100nl and lower for cash games, and I do farily good at HU. Wouldn't call myself a pro but I'm getting there.

LOL. Very nice looking theory. I skipped phase one and never went broke. But there was certainly a phase where I lost in cash what I was earning in SNGs. I guess I'm at phase 5 now, but I certainly make too many stupid mistakes to look anywhere close to a hero. In the end, it's only been a year since I started playing poker. Also, very few people graduate to phase 6.

Haha, I'm glad that ChuckTs celebrity shot at the end got a pop reaction. ChuckTs, I think you live with your mom because you want to live with your mom, not because you have to. And that's a good thing. Plus in the movie "The Grand" doesn't the calculating on-line pro ... live with his mom?? Yup.

I went 2 (played S&Gs first, sucked at them and eventually got better), 5 (6 tabled 25NL 6max and crushed it for awhile), 4 (currently playing 12-14 tables of 50NL FR). I think FR is still more profitable at microlimits (hourly winrate) since u can play so many more tables than 6max.
