everyone recieves, but noone gives?

I have read many, many blogs about someone recieving a bad beat. I have yet to see a blog aboout how someone gave a bad beat to someone else. Are we saying that we are soo good that we are never in a hand while behind and have to suck out to win it?

I've copped to it before...

Still, I don't think it's that anyone's so-o-o good. I just think it's easier to remember the ones dealt to you than dealt by you. The ones dealt by you don't hurt.

It's kind of like the difference between dumping someone and getting dumped. The dumpee always feels a helluva lot worse and remembers more clearly than the dumper(and yeah I know you'll crack wise, have fun, merry christmas).

ItI agree with N.D., but it may also be the case that people who frequent poker forums are less likely to need to suck out than your average player. Presumably, a person who gives bad beats all the time isn't on here trying to learn more about the game.

I just sucked out. I'm sure it hurt like hell for the suckee but I liked it. Went a little something like this:

Small pair on the button, person in first position min-raises but I saw them betting really big in that position b4 that. It was fishy, didn't smell right. Downright stank.

So I went ahead and made my standard button raise. They called, at any rate they played wrong, cuz I somehow got really sucked into the hand(and maybe that's why they call it sucking out cuz when u do it in a valid way you're sucked into the hand and can't get out). They had broadway cards pre-flop and somehow on the turn they went all-in but by then it only cost me 2 cents to call so I did and bam! 5 hit on the river to give me trip 5's.

Of course, had they played an A game from the get without hand based bets and raises, I wouldn't have been as likely to make my raise pre-flop now would I?

Well i cant actualy remember a really bad beat ive had against me, only ones where i am 80% fav which isnt so much of a bad beat. But i remember hitting a 1 outer on river for quads in a set over set situation

I played studs today and had trip kings by fourth street against a guy showing two aces. We capped once, then he got cautious so I started firing. I hit quad kings on the river, we capped again and he had three aces on fourth street and had hit a full house on the river.

Some people don't like to stick it in with the worst of it. I tend to receive about 6 bad beats for every one I give, probably a bigger ratio since I can barely even count the times I've given them.

Last ones I remember giving for the entire year:

AK vs AA, all in pre flop: K 4 7 K 2
AQ vs AJ, all in on flop: A J K K 5

Few I've gotten lately in 3$ and 11$ rebuys, and almost all right before the money

JJ vs. AJ : all in pre-flop : 7 Q 3 T K
JJ vs. AJ : all in pre-flop: Four heart flush board
TT vs. AA, all in on flop: 2 3 T 4 A
77 vs. 66: all in on river, when the flush completes : 7 8 4 6 6
AK vs. AQ or AJ: all in preflop: happens many times that I lose track

Lately I find myself playing more aggressively in the beginning in order to build up chips to survive suckouts later, or get sucked out on early and save myself the two hours.

forgot to add that I consider bad beats 4 outers or less, or runner runners.

Well, I have my own theory. I think that when I dish out a bad beat, I tend to justify it by something that the other person did wrong (maybe they priced me in or slow played too long) and not really admit that I made a donkish play. I hope that I'm learning from the suckouts that I give.

I post all brags, bad beats (recieved AND given) in the Brags & Bad Beats section. People do not like to brag about the bad beats they give because they made a mistake to get there in the first place, and most people do not like to admit the mistakes they make.
