| yesterday i had a bit of hellmuth moment, I shoved with QJ trying to steal blinds and one limper, guy had 3 times my stack and called with A4 I didnt really snap but was like T_T how can you call a shove with that? He won lol, but its all good ... honestly there are few really really bad moves in poker... they're usually so obvious that everyone knows not to do them... |

| I usually restrain myself, but have had a couple. They often happen after I've been playing too many hours in a row. The latest was someone I called a "dumbazz". He called my pocket aces three bet with Q-4....and of course flopped two pair. |

When you have a Phil Hellmuth moment: In live poker, instead of yelling like Phil you should print out a life size copy of your avatar, and when someone makes a stupid moves or sucks out at you, just hold that up to them for like 3 minutes. LOL that poster would be like "WTF man?" "What's your deal bro?" "Pathetic" all without saying a word. That would be so freakin funny. Dude, I have no idea why I'm so obsessed with your avatar. Every time I see it, it makes me chuckle! If you ever remove it, then it's </3 between me and you. |

| I can take a couple of bad beats in a row without having a "Phil". But after two or three bad beats when someone is playing stupid and keeps sucking out on you and finally you get kings or aces and you slow play them a bit and he bluffs all in with 9,Q off and hits the straight. That's enough to do it for me, although I don't berate the player, I just start talking to myself: "This just can't happen"!!! Trouble is, it happens a lot! |

| I go Phil Hellmuth when my friends have a poker game. We play stupid rules where its a sit n go 1/2 blinds and 20 chips (same value, I know, really dumb) so I get AK and shove and my friend calls me on QT and draws out on me. I just went on about that for like 10 minutes. Later that night I had to point out a full house when the entire table missed it and I was a little bitter from getting knocked out by QT so I said "If I'm not here the whole game goes to shit." Seriously, one guy had trips and hit a full house on the river when the board paired and everyone thought the guy who had three of that card won. I have a lot of Phil Hellmuth moments with my friends. |

| I use the possibility that I'm in a Hellmuth moment to realize that I'm currently steaming and to walk away. Anytime I start talking through the screen at my opponents, (with the purpose of explaining to them why they are wrong to play the way they did,) I think, "This could be a Phil like reaction" Fortunately those moments are fewer and fewer between. | re: Ever have a "Phil Hellmuth Moment"? poker i used to get pissed after losses but now i just kind of suck it up, sometimes i still complain about it on forums though lol less emotion i put into the game the more detached from the money i will get, it works i know but its hard to apply sometimes... especially when you dont exactly have a huge roll. |

Don't feel bad I had the same thing happen with Aces. In my situation I went on a bad run with AA to the point where I was counting how many in a row got cracked. That was number 13 in a row and thankfully the last. |

| I've had one Phil Helmuth moment of my own. And I also had a moment with Phil Hellmuth. ------------- My Hellmuth Moment: Late in an MTT and I am table chip leader. I am going for the win, this is at Pechanga Casino in So Cal. I have AKo, i 3bet and the guy tanks and calls instead of just shoving in the rest of his chips which seemed automatic. Flop came, he checks i shove all in , he tanks and calls, he has q high and i am in the lead. River = Q. I'm crippled as it turns out, next hand aipf with 66 and i get called by 77 and i am out. I flip out, call the entire casino a bunch of shithead amateurs that "dont even know how to spell poker AND can't even spell ESPN". Got a good laugh on the way out. --------------- My moment WITH Phil Hellmuth I'm at the Commerce Casino with a friend and I show him the top table and all the big guys are there. Ivey, Hanson, Brunson, Hellmuth and more. Suddenly Phil stands up and begins a ridiculous tirade just like you see on TV. Sits down, stands up again, all the time whining and pointing at Ivey. Finally he gets up and storms off ... and heads DIRECTLY for me and a friend. He brushes by my friend's shoulder (keep in mind Phil is a HUGE dude) and my friend just says "guess I shouldn't ask for his autograph" and we just burst into laughter. We hear Phil says "Pfft whatever PAL!" as he storms off. |

| The funny thing about me is that I hate Phil Hellmuth for the way he acts, but I act the same way. The other day my pocket AAs got busted in a 4bet pot with 66. I shoved on the flop, dude calls with 66 and turns a 6! Needless to say, I went off the handle for about 2 minutes. All this time, Crystal is just sitting there staring at her computer and not paying much attention to me. I looked at her, showed her the hand and told her to "shake your fist at him". She humored me, we had a good laugh and I went on to the next bad beat. |

| NOt proudly, I am claiming to be a shorter version of Phil. I don't really even like to watch him, but when some dipshit donks out on me, I usually let him have it, especially if it cripple me in a trny. I truely don't care if somebody beats me with a legit hand, but I blow up when somebody goes runner runner on me when they have no business being in the hand. It's always the worst players that get lucky anyway. |

| had my Phil moment when had ak, raised preflop and hit top pair on the flop, bet flop got called, bet turn got called, bet river got called and he had hit a 9 high straight by getting runner runner, got a 3 month chat ban for calling the guy every name under the sun, still call donks everything under the sun but haven't had another chat ban yet which i'm quite surprised about as someone does it everyday lol |

| Are you talking about live? Because especially with live games, it's definitely best to keep the Phil Hellmuth moments to yourself. Assuming you aren't getting a large amount of sponsorship money for being Phil Hellmuth, you don't want other players to have any emotion towards you - they will either play better against you, knowing that you are judging them, or take steps to hurt you even at their expense. Plus, it's just nicer to have everyone happy at the table. Smile, die a little on the inside, and rake in the chips at the end of the night. |

| re: Ever have a "Phil Hellmuth Moment"? poker I admit I have had a few Hellmuth moments myself, but I am proud to say they were all done in my boxers at home on the computer with none of my words heard by anyone except for maybe the walls. I can't imagine for any amount of money wanting to go off on camera in a way that some players do. |
