Ever done this?
Want to create some observational skills while playing SNG's (other games too)? Try taping a piece of paper over your whole cards, and playing the entire tourney this way.
You'll be amazed at the skillz you'll develop, and how often you actually allow YOUR CARDS to be the determining factor in your decision making, rather than current/past actions of oppnts, and their holdings. It's like closing your eyes for an extended period of time while your outside. You hear things you never knew existed! By covering my whole cards, I've developed senses I didn't know were there, and noticed actions I never have before. I can "feel" opponents' weakness and strength better than ever before (which is soo critical online-- betting patterns alone, aren't enough. You definitely can FEEL, while playing online). It's tough at first, but after awhile... ![]() |

It is a method of practising to try and see if you can tell how the opponents play.
Annette Obrestad even won a 180 player sng on Full Tilt this way Annette Obrestad (Annette_15) | Online Poker Pros |

Yes I've actually done this. I played a couple $1 45 person sng's this way. If you spend $20+ on a book, why not invest a couple of bucks to really learn how to play position and how to read flop texture.
