Thats crazy, to bad we weren't able to see more. I guess those guys got smart and found out its easier to steal the money than to go through over 5K people to win that amount of money. Well i'm sure they'll boost security next year, hope everyone came out safe.

i read the story in german and i guess they all got away because the other guy had a weapon and freed the red jacket man. nobody got hurt luckely

I saw the video, crazy stuff... am sure everyone had a good scare... wish I was there to see the faces of some of the pros... they would have been priceless... to see them run and scream like little girls ;-)

I was watching as it happened, pokerstars.tv just pulled the plug (obviously not serious journalists on their team), I thought it was a fire or bomb scare at the time. They announced nothing other than the broadcast was halted due to "technical difficulties" and that the tournament would restart shortly after an "unscheduled early break". They later announced play would resume tomorrow but gave no additional information

That's pretty scary. Robbing an establishment like that is quite a brazen act. Having said that, I can't say I'm completely surprised. The economy is still in bad shape (despite what the authorities would have you believe), and desperate people do desperate things. I hope no one was hurt and they catch all those thugs.

This was pretty good footage. That one guy was real pissed that these guys would rob the place. The funniest part is the guy with the brown bag. He made sure that he wasn't going to be without his lunch.

Holy shit, that's some scary stuff. Glad everyone came out alright.

Incidents like this are why online poker should be legalized in the US. No one has ever been robbed at gunpoint on an online gaming site.

Who in the world would want to be there or think it would be funny or priceless to see people who are worried about getting shot? Anyone who has ever had any experience with gun-toting scared and stupid thugs would know that's the last place you'd want to be.

I would run.. Run like shit.. Run to the nearest plane home to the wife and kids.. Iam a p%%%y like that yo.. Thats just me.. Just sayin.. Why the hell would I try fighting dudes with weapons like that.. I'am no Jet Lee.. All the same big ups to the dude trying to stop the guy in the red jacket.. Thats a crazy situation to be in.. Sarah had a robbery once at the place she used to work at and just the sight of the gun was all it took to shake her to the core and never wanna see a gun again..

That kinda shit that happens is scary everytime.. I wish that experience on noone no matter what the weapon is...

Well, am from Texas... armed robberies are a common thing down here... it's the old west here... so I would probably stay in my seat, and try to keep playing... they aren't going to steal my chips... that's not what they are after...

and what I meant by wanting to see the pros run and cry like little girls... is cuz you never see them in that light, you always see them as poker bad-asses... so am sure some nut job collector would buy those pics on ebay ;-)

im pretty sure ivey would've continued playing his chinese poker with doyle if they were there. nothing seems to faze ivey and doyle's been around the block long enough. child's play to him.

I just saw it on msnbc. It's kind of odd they were taped from such a close range and didn't mind. They're saying seven people were injured during the robbery. I hope they'll be ok.

I do not think i would stay. I am not afraid of a bunch of guys with sticks but of only one with a gun. I have a black belt so i do not scare that easy but i am not bullet proof . A gun is a gun. There is no way to defend from a desperate man with a gun. And by the way i think Ivey would wet his pants if he sees a guy with a gun dancing in front of him.

I am curious how te pros play after this incident)
