Duplicate Poker

Well I checked my email today and Duplicate Poker sent me an email stating they sent me 3$ to my account, so theres that for all who may not know you actually may have another 3$ added if you haven't played in a while. You see I didn't enjoy Duplicate at all but they say something about a new version they came out with. Does anyone know if maybe its regular NLHE or is it the same, cuz that 3$ is most likely gonna sit there...

Every time I go sour at my regular sites, and feel like I need to whip myself back into shape, I go do an hour at Duplicate. It never helps anyone but my psychiatrist who then gets an office visit fee for helping me to avoid suicide!

I had signed up on Duplicate when they were offering $10 free to any new registerations. I tried the site and while not great, I did fairly well...in the play money area. The $10 promised was never delivered, I even e-mailed their support and got no response, so I've never returned.

They emailed me, told me I still had $6 I think, and that they'd send me $3 as a bonus once I deposited. No way in hell am I depositing. Horrible idea, the goal was to remove luck although it's only increased the luck aspect. Unless you play super loose, the other table will more likely be looser than you, thus have a wider margin of chips, thus decide the outcome of the entire match. Just pray the person at the other table that gets your cards gets a bad run of cards. You'll just play tightish and maybe win a bit, maybe lose a bit while the other table will play super loose, one will end up 2-3 stacks ahead of the other, and your play will have made no difference. I may go over there and flip a few more coins just with the hopes of turning it into $20 I can cash out, but it's just not fun, and I can probably average a better return on my time if I just play real poker. It's sad when people don't understand that duplicate poker has infinitely more luck than NLHE. Anyway, I'll never play there with any real money, I think it's a stupid idea, and I'm not wasting my time there.

I didn't mind the actual play. What really bugged me was that when I either won or lost, I could never review how I won or lost.

Hi everyone,
Yep, I also got an e-mail telling me they'd stuck $3 into my account. I played there ages ago when they gave me a free $10. Took me a while to figure out the concept but for thosee of you that don't know it I shall explain:
Several tables, each table gets the same hands and you effectively play against someone else. You can win most of the hands on yout table with small pots and still lose to a donkey on another table who gets lucky and wins big with a stupid call.
Oh, and the software is slow....and by slow I mean slower than George Bush trying to count to ten without taking his underpants off.
It's dire, awful, infuriating and painful.
I now have two options. I can either play on the site with the money they've given me or spend a few hours picking the fluff out of my belly button with a pair of tweezers.
...Pretty soon I'm going to have a very clean navel.

Snowman
