DOUBLE OR NOTHING sitngo pokerstars 10~$1000

Hi guys
I am from California, and currently attending college.
Today, I was bored and wondered if I could deposit
$10 into pokerstars and run it up to $1000 only playing
double or nothing sit n goes on pokerstars.
I will probably deposit the money tomorrow, and start playing the
$1.10.

I will constantly post my winnings and looses while I play the sit n goes.
peace

Good luck to you, I found this double or nothing sngs are a bit difficult to earn cash by playing them.

This might be a neat challenge but keep in mind a double or nothing game might not be the most profitable venture for you. I have heard of people juicing them with some very tight play and huge multitabling though, if you're capable of it. Remember you're only trying to beat half the field, and a huge chipstack is much less advantageous than in a larger MTT.

cash game would be more profitable imo, but then again from my standpoint:

watching paint dry > double or nothing sngs

Best of luck however, i'll be following along

I actually prefer the bodog beginner sngs over the PS double or nothing sngs. The beginner sngs on bodog play like a double or nothing, but you actually have a reward for winning.

P.S. I think your ROI on the double or nothing sngs will be pretty much the same as playing HU sngs. Your return should be between 10-20% IMO, so it will be very slow moving at the $1 levels.
What BR rules are you following, when will you move up in limits, etc?

If you play 3000 DoN at the $1.10 level and win 70% of the time. This is how it adds up:

3000 games @ 1.1=$3300
3000 games @70%=2100 games won
2100 games @$2.00 winnings per game=$4200
$4200(winnings)-$3300(buy-in cost)=$900

I hope you are playing turbo's and Muti-tabling.

I think 70% is a high estimate of how many are going to be won. I think 60-65% is more realistic.

I've tried playing double or nothing sit n gos and they don't seem to suit me at all. I fina normal MTTs much more profitable.

The best DON regs have a hard time keeping a 60% winrate let alone 70%.
Basicly u need a 55% ITM to break even and most of the good regs are getting like a 60-65% ITM witch means they have to put in a massive volume to make it worthwile.
And thouse same best regs have around 15% roi.
To sumarise, DON´s are possibly the most boring thing ever and are only profitable if u put in a massive volume.

i dont think so... they are not so easy to win cause the game is really tight and also you are risking ie 1.10 dollards to win 0.90 and its not really profitable, i mean to win money you must win at least 60% of the times and like i say before its not easy...

good luck anyways!!

It would be a great goal to accomplish being it would take all the skill, luck & determination that is available in this game. Even though the DoN tournaments are a bit easier to ca$h in than the rest, this will be a great accomplishment.

Yes, couldn't agree more. I posted this just to show that with a good win rate that it is a grind. People play these and win a few right away and think that this would be "easy" money. Varience is a killer.

Muti-tabling 10 table(say 1 hr to play)x 10hr a day x 30 days=3000games in 300hr. $900 winnings divided by 300hr= a whooping $3.00 per hr win rate.

At a 60% win rate:

3000 games x $1.10=$3300
3000 x 60%= 1800 games won
1800 x $2.00(winnings)=$3600
$3600(winnings)-$3300(entry)=$300
Doing the same math as above it comes to a big $1.00 per hour.

Isn't massive multitabling enough of a grind in normal SNGs? Add the double or nothings and... ugh... maybe set a lower goal OP? I mean you're just trying to prove it can be done, right? You aren't seeking to actually make too much money off of this endeavor...

It can be done and people have allready done it.
Its just gonna be really boring and take a very long time if your not comfortable with playing 12+ tables.

Oh and good luck OP

I really think it depends on the game. I'd say on some of the limit games, maybe razz or 7 card stud where the players are not quite as good and where there is less variance than in a game of no limit, you could increase that 60% to 70 or so.

I don't wish to hi jack the post but ive been trying to build a bank roll with don, so far this is my graph after 79. Ive been playing the 5.40 don.

Above bankroll management but even with variance if i dropped below my deposit i was going to quit.

It is very hard work. I play 4 at once and it's annoying when you loose 2 as your not even breaking even. It takes balls of steel when your on the bubble and alot of luck.

ive been playing a lot of these on different sites tough to get ahead with so many variences at the tables like said before u win 2 to 5 in a row and then lose 2 or 3 ur right back about even good practice for me though to try to get reads on people something im trying to improve on online . but gl tryin to reach your goal seems a little out of reach but hey if u set your standards high wish u the best of flops .

i have been playing a lot of these and they are very draining on your patience and soul .

You can increase you BR - but slowly, very slowly.

If your BR is v.small then i think it is worth a try, but once you get a roll going it will be hard not to look elsewhere for other ways of growth .

One thing you find is lots of people sitting out and taking forever to play which is really frustrating as well

We should all start at the $1 DoN and keep moving up with every win and see who can get the highest.

Lol, ok I am kidding.
