| re: does anyone know any poker sites that work on a mac? yeah. you can just outright run windows emulation on a mac, but you'd really want to have some power. poker clients are generally pretty flashy and trying on your resources enough as it is on a windows computer...so then you'd be running the entire windows (bla) os on your mac...and the poker clients in windows. i mean it would work, but you want to have some power behind that or you'll be draggin all over the place. since mac's are basically commercial unix since os X came out, there aren't really that many boundaries. this is off topic but there have been times i only had linux or freebsd computers and no windows and whenever i needed to run anything that typically only runs on windows, there was an application called wine that could run a lot of things, with mixed results of course. there is always a way around anything you think is a roadblock...especially with computers. don't feel like you're missin out too much though, mac's are sweet. wish i had one...except they cost twice as much as they should |
