Do you play live organized live games?

I was wondering if any of you have like get togethers with people/friends and play? Did any of you meet people here in this forum that live close by and play live?

I play with a small group that tries to play every other week. We pony up $20 each and first and second place get paid. If we have more than a few people, we pay out to third place.

Poker is great, isn't it? I play with my "live" group Friday night and place 4th out of 6. Tonight, I play an online tourney, place 2nd out of about 80, and win several hundred dollars. Go figure ...

We have a small organized game of 8 people every wed. night. We do cash games with a 20.00 buy in and then rebuys for 20.00 as well. Its really cool because its a very tight group of people and its always highly competitive. Pots can be up around 80.00 and have a lot of very good poker players playing in the game. My advice is to play with the best because it will only make u a better player.
