Do you make a living off online poker?

I am just curious to how many CCers out there are making a living off just playing poker online. If so...what limits and how do you maintain your paychecks through bad runs etc.

I would guess, also, not a lot. And how would they maintain themselves through downswings? I would guess a combination of several months living expenses put aside, bankroll management and extreme discipline. Otherwise, they aren't going to be doing it for long.

Making a living doesn't have to be much if a person is living in his parents' basement.

but we got some great players here that supplement their income from poker

I don't. Not even close. I play because i enjoy it. Being a poker pro would be a nice dream.

You would have to be the man. Every time i do good in poker there is a huge down swing no matter how your game is. It almost seems like your regulated in a way. Well its variance i suppose, but you would have to win a huge tourny, and pay yourself a decent check every week and hope that you can build off of it and pay yourself is my guess.
