Do you like to get in arguments online?

Anyone here enjoy getting in those arguments with the arrogant donkeys who think they are amazing at poker and when you sharkscope them they are really down thousands of dollars?

I usually ignore them but when I am bored, I can really get into it. The one thing I hate though the most at a table is when somebody makes a bad play and then another player tells them how bad a player they are for making this play. If somebody makes a bad play, people should be taking advantage of it, rather than telling them what they did wrong and why not to do it.

YOU wanna be the one to tell 'em? But really, telling the donk WHY the play was ridiculous is probably not gonna teach him anything or change his play. Enjoy the taunt.

P.S. Generally, I'll also shy away from ribbing the occasional bad play, but sometimes can't resist taunting an obvious donk whose consistency will be taken advantage of soon.

P.P.S. Too funny, I said the reason for editing was adding a 'PokerStars' (post script). When it edited, said i was adding a pokerstars.

OMG it did it again

I turn the chat off, mostly because I'm a donk and it makes me mad when people tell me I'm a donk.

Way too many of those. I endured one the other night in 25NL at SportsBook who kept screaming when his TPTK would get drawn out on. He busted out three times, re-buying at $30 each time, while the rest of us were playing with our original buy-in. He kept saying how he was one of the top players on SB, making well over $6000/month, blah blah blah. Idiot. We just kept harassing him back, and by the time he busted out the 3rd time and left, he was on maxi-tilt.

I can't see anybody with the level of play he claimed, whining about suckouts in 25NL, if they're even playing those low limits at all. And almost certainly wouldn't be busting out repeatedly. His AA was cracked twice by a guy who bet out a slightly lower pair and hit trips, and this guy tore into him, calling him moron and retard and everything else. It's amazing, really. And sad.

Too funny!!!

During a recent session I encountered this type of player.

He was always shooting of at the mouth but we all ignored him.

Then came a hand where this goose was holding pocket 10's and hit his set on the flop. By the turn there were a few Broadway cards out an only one player stayed in. When the Ace hit on the river this guy went off.

He kept telling everyone his opponent had the Bullets but in the end he called and sure enough he had them.
That's when he hit Maxi TILT. He kept berating the other player for his bad play and after a few more hands he left. Best entertainment at the tables I have had for a while.

I have got the HH stored in PT3. When I get the chance I will dig it up and post it here.

If you "get into it," you become one of them!

Say nothing... do nothing... just play!!!!

Sorry bro. I might make a stupid bet like that, if I thought my opponent WAS A BLUFFING DONK.

But I would never defend the play.

Seriously, the other night I was up against a couple players that would bet/call to showdown with only high card. Even betting on the river when they knew they hadn't improved. Or calling all in with 74 on an uncoordinated flop. Not sure what the hell was up with them, aside from cluelessness, but those are the types of players that cause you to bet bottom pair when it's down to you and them.

I had a donk call me with lp pre-flop raise of about 4x the bb, i had pocket jacks and the donk had a weak A5...He hit an ace on the flop with two other irrelevant undercards (to my jacks)..I made a dumb move and paid him off a bit on the turn (hoping he called my pf raise with a lesser pocket pair). I don't understand how some people overvalue weak aces especially when there is still 9 people in the tourney...

I started trash-talking him...berating him..i was an evil fack...I told him i was gunning for him, and was going to take him out. He sarcastically called me a poker master and pointed out how i was the ss so how could he be the donk and not i...A few hands later, i took him out with aggressive re-raising with pocket queens..the donk had aj...Buh bye.

The thing is, even though i talk trash and act like i am on tilt, i won't play stupid and will lay down garbage hands. i'll play my game and be patient. I think he called me because he thought i was on tilt and was bluffing. I love it.

I try not to. But then something like this happens:

Sit down at a half-full razz table, first hand of the night. I have three to a 7, raise, one caller.

Brick, he bets, I call.

Get my fourth to a 7, he gets a brick. I bet, he calls.

He gets paired, I get a brick, I bet, he calls.

I get a 10-high on the river, he bets, and at this point I'm pot committed and there's no decent razz player on earth who folds here.

Edit to add: I can't decide if this is a leak or not, but it is a flaw in my character to be sure. I can avoid berating people, but I can't avoid responding sometimes when they berate me.

I show my 10-high, he mucks. I check the the hand history, and he had started with A44 and was triple-paired by the river.

He proceeds to berate me for being a donk. "Hee haw!" and "Keep calling down with 10-high, loser!"

I try to stay out of it with him, but I just can't....Especially when two hands later he loses again by calling me on every street with a Q-showing to start that turned into a 9-high.

You must have a nice bankroll to play $24 Sng's. Hope to reach that point! Just started playing online poker (experience playing live with buddies and free poker on xbox live) 3 days ago. Deposited $10 and now my bank roll grew to $120. But i only play mostly $5 SnG and the uncommon $10 (when i am feeling finicky!).

No, I don't. I'd rather take advantage of others' poor play instead of critiquing them.

I think it is pointless, don't you want them to play bad? Why would you discourage them from doing what is most profitable to you. They are trying to lose but either you are the true donk or the cards are just running bad for you.
