Do you have lots of play-chips? Maybe everyone already knows this, but I just discovered this last night by accident. I have not played play money for a long time and never thought there was a way to win real money using play-chips. Well....there is...at least on Full Tilt. I found a $40 freeroll with a buy-in of 500,000 play-chips, with a minimum of 18 players. Hey, that's some great odds. Of course, I have just about 15k in my account and long ways to go, but now I have found a reason to join play money tourneys when my bank roll is "dead". Hope this info is useful to someone

Not worth the time trying to get 500k just to play a $40 freeroll imo. Just accumulate on Stars and sell to this guy POKER CHIPS PLAY CHIPS BUY AND SELL PLAY MONEY POKER BONUSES

Inscore not sure if you knew but the guys that sell/buy play chips are not buying currently and from the looks of it anytime soon. They are having a dispute with some of the poker sites they were buying/selling from.

I've never played in this tournament myself, but I know people who have and they say the play is at a pretty good level. I just find play money to be rather minotinous, too many fish. I suppose it's something to do when bankroll is low though.

It would really suck to bubble in this tournament, this is the only tournament i know of on full tilt that does convert to real money. How do people accumulate play chips in the millions? Is there any tournament out there that goes the other away around from real money to play money?

I've played the 500K play chip tourney 3 times and cashed twice. I am currently working on building my play chips on Full Tilt up to a level where I can play this more regularly. The 100K SNGs are "decent" play. I'm not saying that it's the same as the play at a $100 SNG. Far from it. But they aren't a total donkfest and you can generally play "by the book poker" and build your play chip balance fairly quickly that way. Since I've decided to play nothing but free rolls for 1 year on Full Tilt, this 500K tournament will play a major role in building my bankroll over the next 10 1/2 months.

Since I created this thread, I have gone from 15k to 105k...and you know what...it has been fun. I have been playing 90 people SNG and yes, at the beginning there were lots of all-ins, but as the game progressed, it was actually quite good and competative. I agree with TRB1965, this is definatelly a way to build the bankroll up... gl all!
