I say the wsop because it shows THE WHOLe tourney

WSOP more interesting to watch for me also since as you say you get to see more of the tourney.

The WSOP is awesome due to the money they play for. ESPN checks in on all of the pros we love to watch and that is something that the WPT doesn't do, just showing the final table and all.

But the WSOP could do to with a thing or two.

I am gonna go out on a limb and say both have the pluses and minuses.

WPT is less real because you don't see the total story. You get to see more of a highlights reel than the actual poker play.

WSOP is good. But, the action can get a bit slow at times.

For polish I will have to say WPT hands down. They production work is very good.

For a real look WSOP is what you want to be watching.

As far as impact. I do belive the WPT hands down has brought in more people to the ranks of poker in the 3 years it has been running than WSOP has over the span that it has been on ESPN.

That is just my opinion.

In the end it nice watching the WPT but WSOP is more informative an educational.

I look forward to each new season of the WSOP like a kid on Christmas Eve. Actually get goosebumps on the day of the first new telecast when I turn on ESPN and see that countdown running at the bottom of the screen! But, overall, I like the WPT a bit better because it's not just a one shot and out, followed by months of reruns. The WPT season gives us fresh, recent action every Wednesday night for most of the year.
