| Difference between STT's and MTT's? I'm running into a situation where I am doing my best at 18 person SnG's and doing my worst at 9 person SnG's. I ran some numbers just to confirm my suspicions and the numbers were startling... 9 person SnG: # = 93, ITM = ~30%, ROI = ~-20% 18 person SnG: # = 23, ITM = ~52%, ROI = ~+150% I have played turbo's and normal tournaments for both so there is no discrepancy there. I can't possibly think that the difference in strategy between them is that huge... Are the people who play 9 man just better? The sample size of 18 person SnG's is small so I guess I could just be getting nut lucky in the 18 person though I kind of doubt that is the reason because my 19+ person MTT numbers are just fine though not as good as my 18 person SnG numbers. Any thoughts? |
