difference between a regular SNG and turbo?

Hey guys i was just wondering what the difference between a regular SNG and a turbo one are? Obviously turbo sounds faster but what exactly are the differences? Thanks

The blinds in most turbo's are around 5 minutes each.

Regular are 1 round or 10 min depending on the site you play at.

Some sites have Turbos where the blinds increase every 5 minutes or so (I've seen some even shorter), when the normal time between levels is 10-15 minutes. Other sites will go up in levels based on # of hands - Bodog used to do this until they changed their tourney structure recently.

Also the amount of time you have to decide what to do is usually shorter.

The structure of a Turbo (Blinds increase every 5 mins or less) leads to you having to gamble more with hands that are probably not in your normal "playing" range.

Otherwise you will find the blinds eating away at your stack

The above is correct, 5 Min. blinds, and some players like that, i dont, playing a turbo is like running a nascar race, i Never play them, buck

If you feel ebligated to play a turbo, set your pants on fire. The effect is about the same.

The differences between a regular and a turbo sng are that turbo's will make maniacs out of people playing and regular players play tighter.
