| You know, I just don't see the bad beats coming that often period! Plenty of dummb beats (and I've been the victim a few times) but few bad beats. I think maybe they happen less often in the SnG's though because a lot of players are playing tight hoping to finish in the money. |

| bad beats...the world over its going to happen here, there, and evrerywhere, latlely i,ve begun to realize that i,m just simply..leaning away from holdem...its been a long time in the making...just last month..in a 3 hour period i came up against two straight flushes...unreal odds of that happening, then last week..in just 30 minutes,i was dealt AA,KK,QQ TWICE,JJ twice..in 30 minutes...now the odds of seeing those hands in a 30 minute period...thats pretty iffy....they were all beat! i was shocked...i have for a long time now prefrerred H.O.R.S.E....i,m just finding less bad play there...just my two cents |

| Assuming this phenomenon exists (IDK, FWIW) there's one simple explanation for it - ring games are typically much deeper stacked than tournaments. The relative short stacks and rising blinds in tournaments demand that players get their chips in more often with marginal or poor hands. You'll see more "bad beats" because people are playing the kind of hands that give them more often. |

Couldn't say it better myself. Plus allin instances in ring games are less frequent than tourneys due to blinds not increasing which force you to shove. So you will have bad beats but not for all your chips but you wouldn't notice because like Seany said you tend to remember the ones that bust you. |
