Did myself pround in a MTT of 517

No I didn't make final table, busted out at 38th place.. not shabby considering I didn't have 1 single pair of pockets. Got crippled a tad early in the game.. A,Q vs his A,J.. he got a fullhouse to my 3 of a kind.

Later in the game.. had to loosen up my hand selection. Can't wait forever for good cards. Even played a J,4 suited.. made a pre flop raise with along with a continuation bet... got both players to fold. Even took on stack leader at my table and took a little chunk of his stack with K,5 off suit.

All in all.. I say I had a good game from the outcome.. It may not be the best outcome but one that was made from doing what I had to do. Constantly read the table, watch betting patterns, see who comes in with what. Fold alot on the last minute bubbles all-ins.. Yes I made the bubble that was 54th and up. Even made one person who was the SB and I had 4X thier chips go all-in cause everyone folded to us. I pushed with A,K..probably my best hand all night.

Has anybody else ever had one of these nights/days as well?

OOps forgot to mention I put a guy on tilt..pre-flop raise.. I hit the nuts at that moment, just a straight. Pushed all-in.. he asked right after I made my bet. "Can't you at least let me see the turn".. he folded and then I responded "Nope you pay to see and beat me with K,X rag or Q,X rag"

He then responded you play your way and I'll play mine..he went into extreme tight mode..blamed me cause he woulcn't wait when he busted out.

There will be those times where you would be an unbelievable streak of horrible starting hands. Usually what I do is find a hand that is margianlly decent and make a move with them. I'd try to raise to get every player out of the pot after the flop. It may not be much but it will cover at least the money you lost with blinds. If you're the big blind and nobody raises, this is the perfect opportunity to make a move, regardless of your hand.
