| That particular $55 satellite MTT is pretty good (it's not a Turbo and ~1in4 get paid). On your bankroll size though I would for sure unreg. from it and keep the T$'s. Something I've done in the past was... with T$'s use them strictly for buying into Satellites and try to build it up (only satellites). I've scoped out the lobbys many, many times over and have played a bunch of satellites and now have an idea which ones I prefer to play now (I hate the longshot ones..I think it's on account of my being a sore loser (I just can't get used to losing???). but what a great return for such a small investment). Then (as mentioned above basically).. play another satellite and then play the tourney you win from it. (personally I prefer the $14+1 >> $55 satellites... 1in4 get paid and play is pretty decent. I used to play a bunch of those $6 turbo >> $22 (DoubleDeuce) but I don't like them nearly as much. |

| re: Deregister from a big sat above BR limit ??? poker Yes i do understand the bankroll management issue. But why play these if you do not play the event you are trying to qualify for. There is a great chance for a good cash if you can get a deep run going. If you were asking the question about bankroll management then yes Great bank roll management - but it looks like you were trying to qulaify and play in the big one. My advice play the big one and you bankroll still allows you to play more of these if you are comfortabel playing them. |

I think I can beat 2 $ SNGs and MTTs with some constancy now (given normal variance). Whereas I'm not so sure about beating 55$ MTTs (remember MTTs are high variance and I'm just not rolled -yet-) Might sound cowardly - but I have become a BR nit. I think that's the greatest improvement I made in my first year at CC. |

| I'm with given68. Unless there are truly meaningful reasons to take the money, I'd follow thru and play the tournament. How much is meaningful depends on the individual, but for me at least, $55 isn't even in the ballpark. And I don't see it as a bankroll issue. That's what satellites are for - to give you the chance to play above where you can buy in. |

| i think unregistering is a good idea here. while u could look at it as freerolling for $55... you could also look at it as $55 added to ur bankroll...so id use the money elsewhere...now if you have any bad streaks it should be easily covered. nice finish btw! |

If you buy in a normal real money Sng / Mtt you'll get real money if you place ITM. |

To the OP, yes I would unregister. But I have become very strict about bankroll management. As a result I have discovered that my bankroll now steadily rises and I rarely suffer a downswing. |

There are MANY players online who play tons of satellites while rarely playing the tourney they were intended for. Small example of a friend of mine I once shipped $20 to on Fulltilt. He stuck to mostly playing satellites (and some tokens) and had increased his roll to over $1,100 in 10days (<< not too bad). He did play a handful of MTT's that he had satellited into but not until he had a decent-sized roll to warrant it. (let's say you have $200 in your account... you win a satellite into a $109 mtt... you're going to play the $109 instead of just taking the T$'s??... I wouldn't personally). |

It's like playing a huge tournament for the $2.25 that you spent to win the satellite. I would have stayed in the tourney. But there is nothing wrong with unregistering either. |

| re: Deregister from a big sat above BR limit ??? poker I would use the tourney dollars too. To me it's the same as spending $55 to play in a tournament. If your BR is under $200 it's really hard to justify that. GL on the felts. |

| Well I worked with the T$ and got my real BR up to 238$ now - after registering for the OFC and the guys vs girls buy-ins (traded 5.50 to PS) + 10$ to my brother I'm at 218$. So I didn't gain much but better than converting automatically....lol. |

| If i was u i would use those T$ to play other sat. or smaller tourneys or even sit n go's .Lately i have been playing the $1.80+.20 satelittes sit n go 9 player and top 3 win 5.50$ i think i won like 5 out of 6 times.my T$ is building up almost more than my real cash...so funny...thats all i use now is my T$ and save my real money for the cash tAbles(micro of course).anyways....good luck with ur choice |

| Your mindset with BR is very good when you do this... You must see it like winning $55 and add it to your bankroll, play a $55 with your BR would be bad... You also could see it like a shot with your $2.25, but what you did is better for later times... |
