"The World Trade Organization ruled in March, for a second time, that the U.S. ban on gambling violates international trade rules and sided with the Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda. But the tiny nation has little leverage to force any changes to federal law." Guess our country only follows the rules when it works in their favor. Maybe this is why our country doesn't get support for the things, it ignores the same people when they don't like it.

re: Democrat proposes lifting federal ban on Net gambling poker well, i guess if Barney Frank is all we have on our side we might as well hope for the best. Personally i have nothing against the man, but his past can be used aainst him, remember the gay escort service fiasco of his a while back, and here's the joke,,, it's going to be hard to get behind him on this one for some people. ( you know how long ive been waiting for Barney Frank to do something newsworthy, to use that joke?)

Looks to me what will need to happen is for a corporation, maybe Netteller, to take the USAG to court for violation of the WORLD TRADE LAWS. My guess here is that if they could do it very very soon, the USAG would be helpless to defend the US position.
