| Dealers and background checks? I know there's a couple former/current casino employees here. What kind of background stuff do casino's usually check for? I'm thinking about going to dealer school but can't get any info from the casino here. And while my background isn't bad it isn't perfectly clean either. I don't want to invest the time and money if I don't have any shot at the job. |

| I don't know about where you live, but here in Illinois, the state does the background check. Generally you cannot be a convicted felon. I worked with a guy who lied about a DUI that was over 20 years old. He was hired with on a provisional basis. If he had told them about the DUI, he would of been ok, but leaving it off the the background form got him canned. We had several DUI people working there, but the others had put it on the form. |
