Damn Freerolls. lol I really gotta remember what I read. Caro says in one of his books something about if you play for money...don't play free games ( or something to that effect ) and I totally understand why. After playing regular freerolls for so long, I finally get a chance to play in a cardschat freeroll, which I assume is nothing like the regular donkfests ( I wouldn't know cause I got blasted so hard and fast ) but on a jack high board, holding jack ace I get raised and raised and I figure TPTK...good. But then I see the queens in the hand of my opponent...DAMN... I'm a total jackass. I'm so used to fools bluffing every hand in regular freerolls that my brain hasn't disconnected from that mode. So...now I'm typing instead of playing while I wait for a regular freeroll. Oh well, better luck next time huh. Just wanted to vent about how playing around donks makes me play like one...eeeeeeeeeeaaaaawwwww. Hopefully the next one I will actually think before I play.

I play freerolls to get a bankroll, and then use that money for small money added buyins. i have found this to be profitable. And yes there is a big differants in game play just between them 2. The buyin is a better type of game i place more in them. My poker is self funding i have never made a deposit.

Forgive me. I didn't mean anything against freeroll players, once you get far enough in them the play gets much better, but you have to fight your way through alot of people that just flat out play bad, and sometimes it takes bad moves to survive, I was just commenting on the fact that when you're used to that, sometimes it's hard to get that thought out of your head ( the everyones bluffing thought...which in my opinion is usually the first hour or so of a regular freeroll). And then playing in a CC freeroll where I assume most people are out to play their A game and then my dumb ass still playing like I'm playing against fools and all in wonders.

re: Damn Freerolls. lol poker I just took a donk beating myself. Had a set of fives and went all in and opp called with KJ clubs and caught river flush. Oh well, it happens. But this should be in the Bad Beats, Vents and Brags section. It's in the Poker General section at the top of the page in the stickys.

re: Damn Freerolls. lol poker I like the freerolls cause I would never put my card number on the internet..so they come to be handy at times...when people like me are stubborn and won't put money in the account cause I don't trust anyone with a credit card number.

That's true. Forums or private freerolls are harder because not all players are freerollers. And we should also say that regular freerolls host 900 to 10000 players and give away small amounts of $$. Private freerolls host fewer player who wrestle for 100 or 200$. IMO it is more interesting and you can show your poker ability better that in regular freerolls. (Sorry for the bad English... I hope I explained my thought well )

I understand what every one is saying here. I have gotten the point in some freerolls that when I hit something on the flop I raise big. Just to make sure that the player is paying the highest price to draw out on me. It is so bad to have to due this. When I know that it should not be the correct way of playing sometimes.

re: Damn Freerolls. lol poker Private games or forum freerolls are alway a better class of game if you can keep the password thieves out. With this change in post requirements, it will eliminate the fly by night members who check in to get a password and not to be seen any more. They will then post the password on their site for all to see. Thanks CC for changing it over this way.
