Everyone should know that a bill going through Congress right now.It is called the Cybersecurity act of 2009.This bill gives the US government unlimited control over everything about the internet.Every American should call,email,or go in person to tell their Senators to veto this bill asap.Im sure you can google it for more info.Please write your Senators right now.I already did here in Wv.If you want to copy n paste my letter,you can pm me,just add your name and your info.As Its in my own words,not by an attorney tho..

My understanding after reading it is that the government would have control over private networks that are linked to electric grids, etc. and be able to shut them down should a cyber attack occur.

Obviously, there are times where the government does or tries to do something good and screws it up, but I really don't see this giving them control over everything on the entire internet.

As bad as this may seem it's really not any different from the government already recording all communications. Silver lining I see in this , is that could this be the first step to making sure the security is in place for online poker once its legal? hmmm interesting, just like in the casinos, eyes in the sky.
