Compiling a list of Points From Play Money Poker Sites.

And, I need some help.

I just started the list.

So far I have Ultimatebet which is 1 point per hour. I think it is a 4 table maximum. So, 4 points per hour. Not sure if it is just 4. But, 4 tables even at play money is a lot to take in.

Jetset which is 1 point per 50 hands played. Up to 4 tables which would be 1 point per 12.5 hands if you play tables.

I saw another one but forget the site. 1 point per 300 hands which is terrible considering the lowest tourney buy in I think was 1000 points. Meaning you would have to play 300,000 hands to get enough point to play in a tourney that was a small prose pool in comparison to the effort and time it would take.

So the list stands as this so far

Ultimatebet: 1 point per hour per table played. Up to 4 tables I think

Jetset: 1 point per 50 hands. Up to 4 tables at one time.

?????: 1 point per 300 hands played. Tables unknown.

Please leave a message in this thread of other sites you know of that let you earn points to from play money games. I would appreciate the help with this list. I tried in vain searching on Yahoo using several different combinations of Free Player Points. I got all junk except that 1 point per 300 hands.

Thanks for the help

You can add Bikini Poker to that list. Although they are still in Beta I think so it's mostly prizes that you can win and freeroll tourneys you can use the points to enter into.

That is the plan. I might even set up a page for it and make it look nice.

But, with only 3 on the list so far it's kinda small. LOL.

It'd help if you could make this a sticky so people who know of other will see it and post. That of course is up to you. I will bump it up once in a while to keep it fresh.

And maybe do a brief posting of information of each site as well.

I think you are doing a great job with the site. Hopefully this will help bring more traffic.

This poker points I keep hearing about is cconfusing when you try to figure out how to earn them. I know pokerroom.com gives you points when you play any real money games so don't put pokerroom on the list. I would like to know which sites gives poker points to players of play money tables. Can't wait for the final list! Good Luck!

Hi - I'm confused about most poker points myself. I play alot of "play money" on Poker Stars and you just get play chips. I don't think you get anything else. I use them for practice and sit and goes. If you hear about points there, please post. Poker Stars has frequent player points for real money raked hands that you can use towards tournments.

I know on Jet Set I have .98 points - not even one! So I guess I should play more.

P.S. Nick! Do you have a Bonus for Poker Stars!! for Cardschat!! ? I think I will add some money to Paradise - thanks for the code.

The points are used to register into free tournaments...basically you play 100 hands you get 1 point, the points can be used to enter into free tournaments as the "buy in". This rewards players who play a lot at the site and encourages players to play more. In various occasions you get bonus points for depositing real money. Using points to register for tournaments also discourages bad play (for the most part) in freeroll tournaments because it takes a while to build up your points and you don't get people going all in with nothing and catching cards.

Paradise poker doesn't offer points you can just register in the tournament for free.

Ok,

I suppose I need to give a more detail explanation. I will use Jetset as an example. Remebmer we are talking about earning free points for playing PLAY MONEY games. Not earning points for playing REAL MONEY hands. There is a lot of the later at many poker sites. But, most of them require you play in either NL games or at the minimum 25/50 cent fixed tables. And for most novices and people on tight budgets that is a lot of money.

Any one to the topic.

As easily as I can explain things there are poker sites that will let you sit down at a play money table and earn PLAYER POINTS just like your were playing at a real money table.

Aren't many that I know of at the moment. Jetset, Ultimate Bet, and Bikini Poker (Bikini Poker is in beta at the moment so the point thing may not be permanent).

Once again. If you know of any other sites of this type. Please, leave a message here.

Ok. On to explaining how Jetsets point system works. Keep in mind that different sites have different was that the reward points. So, this explanation is good for Jetset only.

It is actually pretty simple. Sit down at an play money table and you earn 1 point for every 50 hands you play.

OK what does that mean. That mean you have to be in the hand and not sitting out.

Even if you fold the hand preflop you are still in the hand. Sitting out you don't get dealt a hand. Tournaments are the exception. Freeroll tourneys do not award points for hands. But, you can earn points in certain tourneys that pay in points.

Really that is about all there is to earning points on play money tables at jetset.

No to the other part. What the heck can you do with the points.

There are 3 catagories of use I will go from least valuable to most valuable. At least in my mind.

First is the Jetset store play 100,000 hands and you can buy a nifty book about poker. Play 1,500,000 hands and you can buy a face that no one else has if you want. Jetset has cartoon faces the represent you at the table while you play.

In between there are other books, Hats, t-shirts, purses, tote bags, and polo shirts.

I put this option at the least valuable for a reason. If you get one point per hour which is no uncommon to see only 50 hands dealt per hour. It would take to 2000 hours of playing playing to be about to buy the cheapest item. Let's say you played 4 tables at one. That is the maximum amount of tables you can play. That is 4 points an hour. 500 hours of play to get the cheapest item. The item in question. The book Poker Nation sell for $10 on Amazon. Not really the best use of the points if you are making them from just playing at the ring games.

Next catagory is using points to make more points.

Let's say you have play 2750 hands and you have 55 points burning a hole in your virtual pocket. This is the smallest Point buy in tourney that you can play. It is a fixed limit stud. Bottom prize depends on the amount of buy ins of course. It is a limit 7 cad stud game. The one that is play at the moment had all of 68 entries. bottom prize is 93 points. So, even if you come last in the money you made yourself 38 points.

roughly 38 hours of play at 50 hands per hour is you played only on table. Not to bad.

Top prize in the case of this tourney 854 points. 854 hours worth of playing 50 hands per hour on one table. That is pretty good.

There are several other point tourneys that pay in points. The biggest being a 320 but in that is also running right now. It's top prize is 4500 points.

Ok. Not only can you play for points you can also use to your points to play for real money. for 40 you can get into a satellite that pays the top 9 players 1 seat at the weekly 500 point buy in tourney that is worth $500. Top prize for that last week was $125. There is an 80 point buy in satellite that pays the top 18 players a seat into that same weekly event. You can opt out of the satellite and just buy straight in for 500 points. But, the satellites are the cheaper way to go.

Lastly. You can use the points to enter WSOP satellites. 500 points will get give you a chance at 9 spots for a $33 WSOP satellite. 2 seats there are guaranteed to the $1300 dollar. The more people that enter the more seats that will be available.
And of course the main event where at least one person will win a seat the the WSOP.

All this for playing free poker.

And people have made it to the final table playing at satellites.

OK, now do I have everyone even more confused than before. Sorry if I do. I tried to explain things simpler but got carried away I guess. If you have any other questions please feel free to leave me a private message.

Ok, I am not spamming. Just explain the Play Money for points system on jetset.

I myself have never even made it to the weekend $500 tourney. Came in 4th in a point tourney once. And made a $1.20 on a daily freeroll.

So this is no commercial.

I started for this thread for only one reason. I know there are more than 3 poker sites out there that offer points to play on play money tables.

I want to find more. I enjoy the fact that the play money tables can actually be worth playing. Even if it only nets you a few bucks. Since you are just passing time why not make a little pocket change doing it.

I am sure this darn post if full of typos. Feel free to laugh at my bad typing skills. LOL

I will try to make a better version of this post and place it in the Jetset Forum.

Empire Poker have a VIP points set-up in which the longer you play the more points you collect - which then enables you to purchase things and become a vip member (whoo ) but having played there a fair bit and still no-where near the target - 5000 points i think it is -

i admit i havent looked too deeply into it - but will keep an eye out for more

Paradise does not offer Player points for Playing at Play Money tables. And neither does Empire.

What I am looking to find are websites that offer Play Money players a way to earn player points like real money players do. THen use these to be able to enter Tournaments for real money, Buy stuff at thier stores or, even earn more points be playing in point prize tournies or even against each other (ultimate bet does the last thing). I made it from like 100 to 780 points playing 100 points sits and goes. BUt, then lost it all in a bad streak of SNGS. Oh well. Such is life.

One more update. I will get to ultimate bets points system at another time. Hopefully this week.

Bikini as was stated is still any beta. The points you earn are not good for anything. They don't have any tournies set up as of yet. Maybe they will be worth visiting and signing in a few weeks. I will keep you all posted.

Ultimatebet is really the only one that the point system is worth it. There system allows you to free up bonus money won in their bonus money freerolls. I forget at what rate you earn the money, perhaps 100 points gets you $1. But lets face it that is pathetic. Go play the freerolls and win the money. There are thousands of dollars a day given out, just find them.

I use a list at a site that has easily 100+ freerolls per day and can honestly say I make a few hundred a month on freerolls alone. Usually I have one very nice finish per month that helps me out, along with many decent prizes.

Chips,

Only way to free up bonus money is to play real money tables there. Although it is nice to be about to win bonus dollars. I am only looking for sites that let Play Money games the let Play Money Players earn points like Real Money Players.

These in tourney can be used for Buy ins to get real money. Not bonus dollars or used at there webstores to buy stuff.

Yup Max,

You Ultimatebet points are updated at the beginning of each month.

Well I refound the other site that pays players points for play play money games.

World Poker Exchange.

This has to be not the best way to earn points. You have to play 300 hands to get 1 FPP. Only buy in I see for FPP is a 1000 FPP tourney. Let's see. 300,000 hands and you can enter that one. LOL

Oh and there are even stipulations for a hand to qualify for the 1/300 of a point.

I think I will stick with just playing the freerolls and not even worry about the points.

Keep out on the look out for other Poker sites that offer Players Points for Play Money tables.

I know there must be more out there.

Personally i dont usually play -play money there is always at least 2/3 freeroll a hour and you just need to look in the right places.

I know of one that allows you to win $10 if you play the most play money hands for the week. You need to be in the top 25 to collect the $10. It might take 1-2 hours to win it. Last week all you needed was 50 hands at the play money tables to collect!

Hey I bet you want to know the site. Sorry! It is PokeRound. I could post a link but I am not sure of the site's address. I just used a banner at another forum and lost my $10. The site has very little traffic, almost desolate!

Its not my link, but here it is: http://pokeround.richwebmaster.com?p...pr_hor_1.g if

If it isn't ok to post the link then delete whatever isn't needed. I am not even sure if that link is a picture (.gif) or what, maybe I copied the wrong part.

Good Luck on the $10 though!

Still looking for more poker sites that let you earn Poker Points for playing at play money tables.

You can drop Bikini poker from the list. No one has been able to log into the site in almost a month. Maybe more. And support does not respond to E-mails sent to them or message left on their forum.

Looks like I can kiss goodbye to the $3 I won at their site. Any all those Points I collected there were suppose to be worth more than party poker points.

Sorry I didn't get around to explaining Ultimatebet's point system until now. But, it is pretty simple.

For every hour you play you get 1 point.

You can use the points you earn in several ways. Keep in mind I am talking about points earned playing at the freetables or where no rake is taken.

You can play for 2400 hours on one table or 600 hours playing 4 tables at once. This would net you 2400 points. You could use those points to buy yourself a niffty Ultimatebet baseball cap. Woohooo. 2400 or 600 hours of play to get a hat. Just play 24 hours a day for 25 straight days. Or, play 4,000,000 hours at one table or 1,000,000 hours at 4 tables and you could buy yourself a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy. Let's see. 1,000,000 hours 24 hours a day would take you 114 years, 41 days, 23 hours and 24 minutes to make enough points to buy the Harley.

Ultimatebet has not point tournaments that pay in UB Points.

You could play in a Ultimatebet point sit and goes for as little as 100 points. 500 points to 1st, 300 to 2nd, and 200 to 3rd place. This is out of ten players. The six player SNG's pay 2 places.

The highest Ultimatebet Point Buy in that pays in UB Points is 2500+250. Places paid breakdown is 50% for 1st, 30% for 2nd, and 20% for third.

Or you could sit down at a ring table with your points and play. 10/20 point blinds limit or 10/25 blinds for no limit.

You are limit to earn 500 Ultimatebet points for month. I am not sure if this only applies to the Play money and No Rake ring tables. Or to real money as well. Someone might clarify that for us.

Here is a little quote from Absolute's FAQ's this is part of the section on ARPs (Absolute Reward Points)

"Dear Valued Player,

Welcome to the Absolute Rewards Loyalty Program! Team Absolute recognizes our players' continued patronage through Absolute Rewards Points (AR Points). AR Points are easy and quick to earn and are awarded 2 different ways.

1. For hands played at real money ring games
2. Tournament buy-in fees."

So nope. Absolute does not offer point for playing free money games.

Another Update.

World Poker Exchange now offers a $50 FPP (Frequent Player Points) freeroll. It costs 100 FPP to enter. That is better than the 1000 FPP it costs to enter the $500 FPP freeroll.

Well, actually it is about the same I suppose. 10x and many points for 10x the payout. Bottom prize is $1.75 for the 100 FPP and $17.50 for the 1000 FPP freeroll. $15 for top on the 100 and $150 for top on the 1000 FPP freeroll.

The problem for play money as well as real money players, You only earn points if you call the flop. In the case of the play money player 1/300 of a point for every flop you call.

The bigger problem for the for the play money players. It would take 30,000 hands seeing the flop for everyone of those hands to earn your 100 FPP to be able to join the 100 FP freeroll. BTW, you are only permitted to earn 5 points a day for play money tables. You would have to see 1500 hands to get all those 5 points. So assume you could play 100 hands per hour. That is saying a lot because remember you don't get any credit for hands folded preflop. Assume you call every hand and get the 100 hands per hour. 3 hours would net you all of 1 point. It would take you 300 hours to earn enough points just to buy into the $50 FPP freeroll.

The point system structure is awful for either the play money or real money players. Probably one of the worst point systems in the industry.

Think about Jetset. 50 hands one point. 25,000 hands would get you into there weekly $500 main event. Bottom prize is $1.60 and the top prize $125. But, you can pay 40 points to get a chance at 9 seats which would only be 2000 hands or 80 points for a chance at 18 seats. Plus as long as you are not sitting out each hand counts as 1/50 of a point.

Much more advantagous to go with jetset.

Poker points

There are two Poker sites that i know of that have where you can get poker points by playing in their freeroll tourneys. The top 40 places award you with poker points. These sites are BugsysClub.com and Pokerpages.com. Click on their free play tab after you sign up and start playing. there are alot of nice players on the sites.
These tourneys are ran every 20 minutes on the hour. When you play in the freerolls and you win points, you will then be able to play in their Holdem games for points and win points at the tables, but you can also lose them on the regular tables, so watch how you bet them ok.
They also start you out with 1000 in play money at the play money tables. You do not earn points in those, but you keep what play money you win.

There are also two another sites that i like to play in and they are WingowsPoker.com gives you $5.00 in real money just for signing up, no deposit.
The other site PitBullPoker.com. PitBull gives you $10.00 in free money just for signing up, with no deposit.

Hey thanks ev1,

I know big bonus bucks where I play offers FPP. They have FPP freerolls often. I am not familiar with the details but it is available. I usually play when I have enough FPPs. It does'nt seem to take to long to aquire them.
