| Comparing online poker to live games what's up everyone why is it that on the online sites it always seems that i get sucked out on, every time i have a good hand and in live games it usually happens the way it should with the 95% chance winning the hand. It gets really frustrating when 8 out of 10 times the 5% dog wins the hand. its also frustrating when everyone congratulates the suck out like he/she did something well. i have allot more to say about this subject so post some replies. | i agree and disagree because ok on online poker i does seem like you get sucked out and bad beaten quit often but if its in a torney or tables you play more hands on online poker and with live games its much slower and you dont see so many hands as you do on oline poker.it is good when its on the other foot and you suck out and win but the other way you feel so mad and annoyed but its the hole part of the fun and excitment of the game |

good point woody, online players see a great deal more hands. therefore will see more suck outs, it is indeed a part of the game, i dont think there can be a percentage however placed on such suck outs because it is down to the level of play and how well the hand was played for there to be any accurate number for how often you will face a bad beat.

re: Comparing online poker to live games why would you change you style of play?????i mean if you only see less than 20% of your flops live...why would you call in more online.....just because you get dealt more hands an hour online doesnt mean you are obligated to play more.....just doesnt make sense to me...

Yes u see more hands online but I think it has more to with the limits u play. At higher limits it becomes more like a live game in the aspect of level of play. Thats not to say u dont see the suckouts but they r much more calulated than at the lower levels. And u r still gonna see them more often than live for the simple fact that we do see a considerable more amount of hands. Zac or somebody posted in another thread just how many more it is that we see I dont recall but it was high.

re: Comparing online poker to live games Check a thread on rigged poker sites lol Its all fixed and set up all the way BTW same things happen live, I once had my AA beaten by KQ offsuit, my opponent made a flush with 4 hearts on the board. So these extreme bad beats happens in both live and online, also to your favor and to your opponent's favor. Just be prepared and don't take it personally.
