.COM Poker After Dark - Full Tilt

Anybody play these? I played a few after the CC freeroll this morning. My highest place was 11th out of 180. I'm out for about 3 hours, and I come back, and they're still going on. How common are these games? I've played a couple before, and just got lucky by finding them.. but I don't think I have ever seen this many games in one day.

Btw.. these are the biggest donkfests I have ever played in, lol... Over half the tourney is out within 10 minutes.. and the 180 person tourneys last maybe an hour.

i have played a bunch of these in the past. new one every 3-4 minutes. always go all in first hand. i have won maybe 4-5 of these. they are fun sometimes. i have been in as many as 5 at the same time. crazy. gets boring after an hour or so. thats about how long i play in them if i don't make the final table. have to be careful not to play the same in a regular tournament after playing these. sometimes i have played pretty stupid after playing these too long.

i have played a lot of these, and i final tabled one also.. but i admit i push till i get 10k or so and then i play serious.. you have to consider only first place wins.
but they are funny, you can play as many as you want, and inmediatelly there start another.. and all are freerolls. i like them.

They're back up again.. this time, in the 180 player freeroll, the Top 19 win FTP points.

I have played in several of these also. 1st and 2nd advance in the .com tourney and only 1st in the .net tourney. I've advanced a couple of times and the play in the next round is the same type of donk fest.

Good observation. To be more exact, the registration for the 180 player tourney (the one that pays out 2 places) comes up almost exactly every 3 minutes. So if you want to register for the 180, open up your computer clock. Take a quick look at the time when registration opens so that if you miss it the 1st time around, then all you have to do is add 3 minutes to that time.

But as a lot of you have said, it's generally an all-in donkfest initially. If you sit out for just 15 minutes, you'll still be in okay shape since it's not a turbo tourney.

I win few of these PAD tourneys and had about 10 final tables, but I always unregistered from round 2 and spent those points on other satellites.....
If you win round 2,final tourney is in January, why to wait so long, better to use points for some every weekend games

I played them today. Became 5th, 10th and 12th. I got donked out at finale table with a-a against k-q, he got a straight( all in for flop). I only play those tournaments if I'm bored.

Some days ago I saw the top 20 gained points. But today it was like usally , first and second place get's a ticket of 100ftp.

I've played these quite a bit (but I wasn't aware that they awarded any FPPs to top finishers). At one point they were running POD and WSOP Main Event freerolls at the same time. There were literally four different tourneys starting every five minutes or so. I prefer the 180 person tourneys best since they award a seat to the top two finishers, where the 360 seaters award only one seat. You just have to be ultra quick to get into the 180s.

I've actually won a couple over the months. Most frustrating is how many times I've bubbled in the 180s. I bet I've had eight or ten 3rd place finishes and countless final tables. It seems the donks are still alive and well at the final tables in these.

I won one of the 180 player round 1 freerolls and then last night i played in round 2. It had about 1,300 players in it and it took about 4-5 hours to finish. The top 13 won a seat at the final worth 10,000 points and i was one of the top 13 so now i've just got to decide if i keep the seat or unregister and just get the points.

Very cool Derrick! I was in the one from last night, too. I showed up late, though, lol. I was thinking it was at 10pm central time.. when it was 10pm eastern time, 9pm central time. I showed up 52 minutes late, and had just over 1,000 chips.. I did pretty well, coming back from that, getting a nice chip count for awhile.

Ended up making a couple of mistakes, though.. and took 362nd.

Yeah i came in late too, when i signed on i had about 1200 chips left which wasn't THAT bad since by that time i guess most of the donkeys had been knocked out because unlike in the round 1 tournaments i found that most of the people in round 2 seemed to play pretty well and not just shove allin preflop. But yeah im pretty sure im going to unregister from the final and get the points because i dont feel like waiting until January for the tournament.

That's a pretty good tournament to be in, though. Plus, Bruce Buffer is already registered for the final, haha.

Hahaha yeah if Bruce Buffer's in the tounament you know it's gotta be good :P But i know the winner of the final wins a seat on an episode of poker after dark but do you know what else they get, like as money goes because yeah it would be nice to play on t.v. but if i had a choice between being on t.v. and getting money i'd pick the money.

Nope.. the winner just gets a free seat on Poker After Dark. You also have to look at it this way. It's not money.. it's Full Tilt Poker points. So.. you take your 10,000 Full Tilt Poker points, and you could try and win more to get electronics at stuff. At 8,000 FTP points, you could get JVC HANC80 Noise Canceling Headphones.

Personally, I'd rather take the prize and a chance at winning a spot to get on TV..... which gives you another chance to win at the big money.

Go back to that screen and wait til the register button pops up. There is a game about one every 4 or 5 minutes. You have to be quick on the button to register, because it fills up in about 4 seconds.

nvm i answered my own question. I noticed there was a tab for them under the "play money" tournaments section....you need a fair amount of full tilt points to play tho which is a shame. Would be cool if these satellites could be freerolls.

The 180 and 360 player .COM Poker After Dark Round 1 mini-tourneys are freerolls.

I have wona bunch of these. They are rediculous in that they truly are the donkiest of donk fests. Sometimes I get trapped into being a donk right along with everyone else, however, you have to be careful to not pick up any bad habits...

They are always running. It's 8 am where I live now and they are running now. I've gotten 6th out of 180. The best thing to do in these tourneys are get chips fast though. Easier said then done though.

I play these all the time as a diversion. Usually there are 6 or 7 all ins in the first hand so you can shove with just about anything and have 10K or bust. Not bad since a new one will be there in 3 minutes. I used to play in the round 2's, but now I just unregister and take the FTPs

I GOT A TICKET
I GOT A TICKET
I GOT A TICKET

Managed to finish in the top two on a 180 SNG, Was absolutely miles ahead by the final table so couldnt really be beaten. Just kept pinching blinds to screw them all up..

Dunno whether to use the 100 FTPs for the PAD tournie or build them up and use them for something bigger..

Any suggestions.
